    About James M.

Hello trumpet players! My name is James and I am an accomplished performer and teacher. My grand teacher was Vincent Chicowitz, the famous 2nd trumpet player from the legendary Chicago Symphony brass section. He is regarded as one of the best if not the best trumpet pedagogue of his time, and much of my teaching is designed around his pedagogy. I have the most experience as a classical player, but also love to play big band jazz! I am an outgoing and encouraging teacher who will have high expectations of you without ever talking down to you. A positive collaborative environment is the best way to learn music :) I hope to meet with you soon!
