With fifteen years of training at the piano as well as formal classroom training (music theory, ear training, history, recording, etc.) during my undergraduate studies, I still believe that passion for music is the most important ingredient for studying the at the instrument! I taught lessons for three years in Minnesota and another two years in California. Since that time, I've settled into the public health profession but am interested in reinvesting in my first love (music) and helping others find their way, too. I have classical training as well as experience dabbling in composition and modern/contemporary music. I've also worked with students who have a physical disability and believe that the instrument can be approached differently according to different needs.

I'm Holly - a well-traveled Midwesterner who has settled in the greater Baltimore area. My original areas of study were piano and painting - and I spent about 15 and 9 years, respectively, formally studying each. I left both fields due to unforeseen health issues and now work in the field of public health - going on 12 years. I enjoy it because of the blend of disciplines. I'm a life-long learner and love to hear about how others explore and develop their interests and stories.
