Dance with Heather K.

Originally from Des Moines, IA, Heather began her dance training at Westside Dance Academy. There, her love for dance began and continued to grow. She studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She competed in many competitions throughout the Midwest and had the opportunity to perform in Disneyland for their 50th Anniversary Celebration. Heather continued to dance throughout her college career at Northwestern College, IA. Studying theatre along with dance expanded her musical theatre training and she was privileged to choreograph for theatrical performances, as well as dance showcases. After graduating, and upon moving to Chicago, she continued to push herself into using her love for both theatre and dance to choreograph for events and showcases, as well as participating in music videos throughout the city. She has enjoyed sharing her love for dance through teaching at studios, schools and park districts in Chicago and the surrounding area. Everyone has their own story to tell. She encourages students to tell their story through dancing. "We dance to express what words cannot."
