Hello, My name is Harold Carlson and I've taught over for over 25 years. I've also performed in many bands throughout the years. I got my start by taking lessons on the guitar at age 9. I was inspired by bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. By age 14 I had mastered many styles of music such as rock, blues, country, reggea and folk. I then started teaching friends & relatives how to play the guitar. After school on certain days I would study Jazz & Classical guitar under Dave Sulivan at Lawrence University (our local arts college). When I graduated high school I got hired on as a guitar teacher at our local music store. They offered lessons on many different instruments, so on break I'd scheduel a banjo, uke or harmonica lesson for myself. Eventually I was able to offer kessons on them as well. I thorougly enjoy teaching these different instruments to such a vast range of poeple.
