About Guy M.
Guy McIntosh is a freelance trumpeter in the DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia areas. He performs regular concerts with the Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Lancaster Symphony, Kennett Symphony, Maryland Lyric Opera and Mid Atlantic Symphony Orchestra.
Studying in London under a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, Guy takes a unique approach to teaching trumpet. At the Academy, he was a student of Rod Franks (principal of the London Symphony), Mark David (principal of the Philharmonia), James Watson (former principal of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Covent Garden Opera), Howard Snell (former principal of the London Symphony), and John Hutchins (Baroque trumpet). Understanding there are many schools of though when it comes to studying the trumpet, through his experience he is able to custom tailor his teaching to best fit every student.
