*** Lesson Details ***
Regardless of your level of experience or musical preference, I can help you succeed in learning the guitar. By offering two main tracks of instruction--Audition and Artist Track--I ensure that each student receives instruction consistent with their desires.
For students interested in studying popular music, I offer Artist Track. Here, students develop awareness of contemporary music genres through music reading fundamentals, aural skill development, transcription, and songwriting. Curriculum is developed according to individual student interest.
For students preparing for study at the collegiate level, I offer Audition-- a progressive, classical-based sequence that prepares students for upper-level study in music. Here, I guide students through a standards-based curriculum developed by the Royal Conservatory of Music(RCM). Each student has the opportunity to earn certificates and awards though the RCM Music Development program. Supplemental material is used for further repertoire and technical development.
*** Studio Equipment ***
My studio facility contains a host of state-of-the art recording equipment. From software such as Sibelius , Pro Tools, Reason, and The Amazing Slow Downer, to hardware from companies like Manley and Avalon, I have the tools to inspire, create, and record.
*** Specialties ***
As Director of Minnesota Guitar Academy, I offer proprietary, researched-based curriculum. In addition, I am the Twin Cities' only licensed Director of The Childbloom Guitar Program--the nation's largest, and most successful guitar education program for kids.
