    About Elle C.

Elle is a professional pianist and music teacher in the Seattle metropolitan area with a dual degree in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing & Production from Berklee College of Music. Specializing in bridging the gap between genres, she brings technical knowledge of musical styles and their foundations to break down barriers and simplify complex ideas for students to explore. With a primary focus on holistic, goal-oriented learning, the student can always expect to be working towards their unique, individual goals. Whether wanting to play complex classical piano pieces or to play along to today's top 40s - students work step by step to gain all the skills needed to accomplish their individual piano goals via customized lesson plans. In each lesson, students can expect a warm up and check in, ear training exercises, technical training, piece focus, and sight-reading. Each of these areas are tailored to the student's current level of proficiency, whether an absolute beginner or more advanced. Should students be working towards specific goals, such as competitions, performances, auditions, etc., additional focus will be given to the necessary preparatory work. Always open to questions and feedback, Elle loves to promote a comfortable learning environment where students can feel open to exploring new concepts, diving into new challenges, and making mistakes. Learning and growing as a pianist can be a challenging and uncomfortable endeavor at times, but by bringing positivity and encouragement to each lesson, Elle hopes to help her students find the joy and warmth of playing piano.
