ACTING: I'm a lifetime member of The Actors Studio with a B.A from UCLA and an MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School in NYC. My teaching style is a hybrid which embodies my favorite techniques I've learned throughout my studies & career. I have also worked professionally as a casting director (commercial & film), so I can offer a unique perspective from the other side of the lens. *** Lesson Details *** I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and needs. Some students simply want an introduction to acting and want a supportive and private environment where they can learn and take risks, others want to break into commercials, and yet others are already working on professional careers and want to improve their audition technique to get more callbacks and bookings, etc. Once I know your goals, I can provide an effective lesson plan for you to reach them. I teach the following: *Introduction to acting *On-camera audition technique (film & TV) *On-camera audition technique (commercial) *Scene study (with 2 students) *Audition coaching for upcoming auditions *Goal setting for the working actor *** Studio Equipment *** I provide audition sides if we're working on audition technique. I provide a camera if we're working on on-camera technique. I expect students to provide for themselves the text(s) that I assign. *** Travel Equipment *** Camera for on-camera audition technique. PILATES: I fell in love with Pilates as a way to connect my mind & body and to stay healthy and fit between (and during) acting gigs. I'm fully certified through the internationally renowned BASI program, and can teach private & semi private sessions on all apparatus. I can come to your home if you wish to do Mat classes or have your own equipment - or I invite you to come to my lovely studio located in Santa Monica. My focus is to strengthen, stretch, and lengthen your body, and to always challenge you just beyond your comfort level (safely), in order that you continue to grow in your practice and get results!
