Hi, my name is Dora and I've been teaching Piano for more than 30 years. I am looking forward to meet new students who want to make music and music making a part of their life with all that great fun and enjoyment it gives. I give private and group piano lessons weekly. My students have two recitals per year, in December (Holiday recital) and in May (Spring recital) . They also participate in local musical events such as festivals, auditions etc.In my studio which is equipped with a Yamaha grand and a Yamaha keyboard we explore different music styles, from Baroque to Modern and Jazz, we work on sight reading, ear training, improvisation and much more. Come and explore it yourself!

Dora has been very good at keeping our daughter interested in piano and helping to inspire her to more and more challenging levels of playing. She has incorporated Music Theory as a regular portion of the training and has made it more than just learning the piano by itself, but an understanding of music. Dora is very involved with Lancaster Music Teachers Association and this brings so many opportunities for involvement with recitals, additional training events and the chance to see many other talented students in our area. We are very pleased with the interest and dedication that Dora has shown in our daughter over the past 3 years.

My experience has been fantastic with Mrs. Dora! She is very patient and understanding. I came to her with very little technic and she has helped me so much. I feel more confident and secure in my playing. I look forward to my lessons every week and would highly recommend her!

Dora is a WONDERFUL teacher for anyone of any age seeking to learn and play piano!!! My nine year old daughter and I both started lessons with Dora almost a year ago and she works with us both so well. With great patience and persistence. She takes the time to get to know you and knows when to push you. She is really thorough; Dora has had us learning music theory since the beginning. Additionally she does not allow us to form bad habits; Dora insists on correct seat height, posture, the way to hold your shoulders, arms hands, fingers. No correct notes played with incorrect fingers permitted! Dora is a performing musician and often when we are arriving at her cozy home based studio we are treated to the soaring sounds of her playing the glossy Yamaha grand piano we play (someday we hope to make it sound even half as beautiful!) She is usually rehearsing for a show. Speaking of shows Flora had had my daughter perform with her other students onstage twice and me once. She offers her students opportunities for learning at other places as well. A solid education in the mechanics of playing and musical expression on the piano, music theory and performance is what you will receive with our dear Dora Zlatkin, who I am proud to call not only my teacher, but my friend too. She is the best!
