Flute with Dana B.

I have been playing the piano for 31 years and the flute for 29....these are still some of my favorite hobbies. As early as elementary school, I was privileged to participate in numerous masterclasses, recitals, and state and national competitions. In high school and college, I began accompanying for choirs, instrumentalists, and vocalists. In addition to teaching lessons and playing for my own relaxation and pleasure, I have thoroughly enjoyed using my skills in my local church for the past 15 years as a church and choir accompanist, as well as organizing and participating in flute ensembles. No matter what style you prefer to develop, it is always important to begin with a strong foundation in music theory and proper technique, which is where I begin every student. My preferred piano curriculum are the Bastien Piano Series, Faber Piano Adventures, and Faber Disney. From there, we will explore all kinds of other fun stuff!
