About Cody A.

Hello, my name is Cody A. and I went to the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California in 2006 but I've been playing drums since I was in 7th grade. I'm here to teach others the same way I've been taught from amazing instructors and mentors since they have been the reason my passion for a drum set began. I'm in a local San Mateo rock band called Swamphammer. We are on The Bone Radio and have participated in local competitions like that Bone Bash of 2013 and ended up being part of the finalists for such competitions. We recently won the Haight-Ashbury Street Fair competition to play in the fair of 2014 and loved every-bit of it. Lastly, I have a passion for metal drums. It's what I'm extremely good at and love. However, I can definitely tone it down to a basic drum skill that can be used for all types of drum play and make it fun and dynamic for each student according to their style and preference. Let's play drums!

Weekly performances at local venues for different locations in the Bay Area.
