Study piano with retired music teacher and pianist with decades of experience

The best way to learn piano is to take lessons from a pianist! Lessons are individualized for each student so s/he can move as quickly or as slowly as necessary to improve his/her skills. The goal is to ENJOY playing and to improve day by day. All ages are welcome. It is never too late or too early to start piano lessons! Lessons will include note reading, rhythms, music theory, sight reading, technique, and more, depending upon the age of the student. I look forward to being a part of your musical journey!

I am a retired music teacher, pianist, songwriter, and recording artist. I have a Bachelor's Degree from The King's College and a Master's Degree from Western Connecticut State University - both in music education. My concentration was piano. I have been teaching piano since my college days. I studied classical piano for over a decade and have given many recitals along the way. I also played with a Worship band, reading chord charts and playing in a more contemporary style. Beginning lessons are basic, learning notes and rhythms. From there we can branch out to whatever style you enjoy! I am also a published songwriter and can teach theory/songwriting along with piano to those who are interested in taking this route. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become the musician you are meant to be!
