I serve as an ambassador for the University of Missouri - St. Louis Music Department who performs and educates at local high schools in the area. My purpose is to perform, educate and expose students to various musical eras of the guitar (Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, to Contemporary and Jazz).

    Guitar Center

I oversaw all in-store aspects of the Guitar Center Lessons business. This included supervising lessons instructors, managing curriculum taught to students, driving lesson and rehearsal sales and maintaining the lesson and rehearsal facility.

    Sep, 2016 - May, 2017

    Music and Arts

I teach the fundamentals of melody, harmony and rhythm as it applies to the guitar. This includes technical studies which pertain to fingerings and hand positions, posture, etc. Students work on selected music to prepare for recital performance and come from all backgrounds, ages and skill sets.

    Instructor

    Aug, 2016 - May, 2017

    St. Louis Classical Guitar Society

I teach the fundamentals of melody, harmony and rhythm as it applies to the classical guitar within a classroom setting. The typical class size is 10-12 students and is part of an after school program, which I currently teach in the Ferguson-Florissant school district. The program was developed by the Austin Classical Guitar Society located in Austin, Texas and it is extremely comprehensive. As an educator it is very rewarding because it teaches students to begin playing music together, as a guitar ensemble, on the first day of class.
