One of the best teachers I have ever had! Chad creates an environment that makes you feel really comfortable with exploring yourself as an actor. Not to mention that fact that he is so kind and genuine. I know I will be forever grateful that our paths crossed!

I have worked with probably 4 dozen acting instructors, coaches, directors in my life, and Chad is the BEST OF THE BEST.
Through several years of working with him, I can vouch that with him you always know what you get: 100% quality, all of the time. He is fully present, meets you on eye level, is kind and understanding, and encourages/motivates you to go beyond what you thought was possible.
Whether it is audition prep, Shakespeare scene work, or general acting skills, there is nobody I would trust more than Chad to help me be the best actor I can possibly be.
Most importantly, with Chad I have always felt completely safe to explore characters, inner movements, and feelings in the process.
The only bad thing I can say about Chad is that he will absolutely ruin you for the next coach or director that comes along, since no one can come even close to his quality.

Chad is incredible at making you feel very comfortable while also challenging you to go beyond what you believe you can do. In every environment that I have worked with him, he has been kind, generous and inspiring. I would recommend him to anyone (young, old, beginner, advanced) in a heart beat. It has changed my life and my career to have learned from him.

Chad provided excellent technique coaching in Shakespearean Acting. I had the opportunity to work with him in one on one sessions and also in a group setting. Both kinds of sessions gave me unique tools like ensable building and utilizing Shakespeare’s text along with all its double meanings. He is easily able to cater to each individual actors needs and really understands how to help break bad habits in order to allow for more growth. Along with text work, Chad provided excellent coaching in creating distinct physical shifts in the body when playing multiple characters in a show. Chad was always willing to answer any kind of questions and continued to surprise me with the ways he could shed some new light on Shakespeare’s work.

Chad is awesome! He helped me so much with two new monologues I was working on (one was Shakespeare, he’s very knowledgeable in this field). Chad listens to you when you tell him the type of character you are trying to convey. All of his criticisms are constructive and kind, he really knows how to help you improve without being mean about it.

He’s also a great musician and can help with acting a song as well, I plan on going through my book with him soon.

Chad has a warm, encouraging, and fun approach to singing lessons and coaching. He's increased my confidence and technique and has helped me on some last minute auditions as well! He's a great acting coach too, so if you're looking for vocal technique as well as performance technique, he's a great choice! I'd especially recommend him for beginners, because of his incremental and fun approach, but he has the skillset to work with more advanced students. I highly recommend him if you have an audition coming up. I've also taken some coaching sessions just to work on Shakespeare, and his knowledge on Shakespeare is impressive. I understand how to approach a Shakespeare monologue so much better now.

I had just met Chad briefly before we started working together. I will never forget working with him. He listens to your thoughts and needs and maintains an open line of communication all throughout his teaching process.

As an instructor, he won't stop until anywhere short of what he believes you are capable of as an actor, so when you work with him be prepared to be pushed to your potential.

Shakespearean Acting

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

I believe the development and training of an artist is a special, sacred, and important act.

If you would like to find more truth, more humor, and more joy in your work as an actor or performing artist, then I would be privileged to help you along that journey!

As a teacher I have taught around the country at universities as a guest artist and faculty member, as well as with performing arts centers from coast to coast. As a practicing artist, I am continually researching new and updated methods and find this passion translates into my lessons with my students.

I believe in positive reinforcement and building upon a student's current skill set, rather than tearing an actor to pieces, in order to bring about the most effective results, all the while finding JOY in the work!

I have performed as an actor, singer, and musician Off-Broadway in New York, on many National tours, and at regional theatres all across the United States. I find this varied experience allows me to provide a wealth of information to my students, especially as they are starting their journey, or simply pushing themselves to the next level of their artistic and professional development.

I'd be honored to go on the journey with you!
