Biology with Casey P.

I have a passion for helping students develop a strong foundation in the biological sciences. I graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and currently work as a research associate at a biotech firm. In my lessons, I focus on clearly explaining concepts and equipping students with effective study skills. I understand these subjects can be challenging, so I take a patient approach and empower students to ask questions. My goal is to make biology and chemistry engaging and applicable to students' everyday lives. In addition to tutoring experience in high schools, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate biology labs and courses. I have worked with students from middle school through graduate level on topics ranging from cell structures to genetics to biochemistry. Outside of work, I enjoy running, film photography, and keeping tropical fish. I'm always seeking out new research and hope to share my curiosity for scientific discovery with students.
