- Teaching since:
Welcome! My name is Brianne. I have been teaching theater to various grade levels for about 5 years. I have my BA in Theater Arts, and was the first student to direct a full-scale production at my university. I am heavily involved with my local community theater directing, stage managing, and performing. I absolutely love working with actors of any age, any passion, and helping them become the best version of themselves: as individuals and as actors!
The best part about my lessons? They are catered to the student!
Our first lesson will be all about you! What are your hopes, dreams, goals, desires, fears and worries?
I will use that information to cater perfect lessons for you and your goals.
Have an audition coming up? Let's prepare.
Wanting to be ready for that big opening night? You're gonna shine!
New to the game and just want to learn? Let's have fun with acting!
Whatever you need, i will cater the lessons to that need.
Can't wait to chat!
As an active community member at my local community theater, I have the privilege of involving myself in multiple productions a year. Most importantly, I can do so in many production facets, including directing, stage managing, and performing.
As Drama Teacher, I worked with high school students. I taught three levels of theater every year. I also produced and directed two school productions each year, working with about 60 students in each ensemble.
As a tour actor/director, I learned a full scale musical in two weeks. I then travelled to a new town each week, teaching that show and performing it with 30-60 kids every week. In this position, I worked with students ages 5-18. I also had the opportunity to work with special needs children.Show More
In the summer of 2016, I attended a theater educator workshop. At this workshop, I was fortunate to meet multiple teachers from the surrounding areas. We learned about new teaching techniques, new acting techniques, and were able to discuss questions and give advice.Show More
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Brianne on multiple theatrical productions for the last ten years, both under her direction and as a colleague. Her depth of insight and wealth of knowledge into character development is highly advanced. She has a deep understanding of how to cater to the skill levels of individuals, and is successful in bringing out the best in the performers that she works with. She is incredibly organized, and creates an environment that is both inviting and fun. Highly recommend learning from her.Show More
I had a very big self tape due so I called on Brianne for coaching as well as to be my scene partner for the tape. We rehearsed the scene over and over until it felt right. She helped me work out all of the kinks and nuances of the piece. We were so prepared that when it came down to filming we did it one take. Brianne is an excellent acting teacher/coach and anyone would be lucky to have her guidance and leadership.Show More
Brianne Lopez was an amazing instructor. She really helped me break out of my shell and gain the confidence I needed to make my debut on stage. She is extremely knowledgeable about all things theater and is eager to share all she knows!
Brianne has an incredible ability to cater her coaching to meet the needs of each student. I have had the opportunity to work with her directly, as a both a character coach and director, and observe her working with students new to the world of theater. Brianne easily scales her coaching to the skillset of her students, making her coaching accessible and comfortable. I truly enjoyed every moment with her as a director and was amazed by my growth as an actor during that time. It was a pleasure to see her interact with underclass students as well, it showed her true range as an educator. I would highly recommend Brianne as acting to coach to any theater student from true beginner to seasoned professional.Show More
I've always been nervous to act, or do theater in any capacity. It's not always the most comfortable to bear all in front of someone. With lessons from Brianne, I have greatly overcome those obstacles and I'm now acting in community theater. In all my 32 years I've never met someone more kind, attentive, or understanding. Not only that, she is a master of her craft, and always had an educated and patient answer. I felt comfortable from day 1, and my needs were always met with organization and compassion. I wish my teachers in school were all like her. She is a true educater, teacher, and mentor. 10/10 rating for me. No matter where I go with my career, I'll always go to Brianne for lessons.Show More
