    About Ashley M.

I'm a professional dancer and choreographer with a degree from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. I've danced for Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Ne-Yo, Shakira, Shangela, the Walt Disney company, and the team that created Hamilton. I do a TON of musical theater and judge lots of dance competitions. When I'm not teaching private lessons, you can find me teaching at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center and at dance conventions all over the world! Whether you are looking to gain a new skill, or sharpen an old one, I pledge to be with you the whole way! I specialize in Ballet/Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, Modern, Contemporary, Improvisation, Hip Hop, Jumps & Turns and dance competition prep. Absolute beginners to professional dancers all welcome. Other than dance, I'm obsessed with my puppy, the color yellow, and groan-worthy dad-jokes. If you choose to take lessons with me, I promise progress, good music, and an individualized syllabus to help you achieve your goals.

Ashley hit the nail on the head. Thanks Ashley for setting me straight and giving me several variations. Music and dance are intertwined.

This summer, Ashley has been working with my daughter on Chicago choreography in preparation for auditions. She is a fabulous teacher and has been very easy to schedule and communicate with. My daughter enjoys her lessons with her. Highly recommend!

Miss Ashley is quickly and diligently finding the gaps in my 12yr old daughter's Tap/Jazz training! Ashley is intelligent, energetic, observant and is quick to clarify what she means verbally. She can superbly demonstrate in minute details the technique of any movement being discussed. Refreshing. :) Every minute with her is a learning moment. We've seen in 3 lessons that she can fuse genre or she can approach them from the purist's perspective, and she can review choreography and offer guidance in an age appropriate manner. My daughter is already looking much cleaner in her technique than she, herself, thought possible. Hope. You're in excellent hands with Miss Ashley. For the hesitant, she's no doubt worth the rates she quotes for an individual lesson. If you want to get A to B, this is your teacher. Come to her with an agenda, and she'll help you get through it. My child loves her. Good luck and Keep Dancing!
