I'm a professional singer/songwriter/producer, originally from New Zealand, now based in the US. I'm a solo recording artist and I also sing and play guitar/keyboards in 2 bands. I've spent the lasts 10 years touring, recording, playing session and producing music. My bands have played major music festivals and won music awards. I've had multiple songs chart in the top 5 and had syncs on major television commercials. I formally studied Jazz Vocals at Auckland University. I began teaching singing 8 years ago in local schools in New Zealand. In the space of 6 months I went from 1 singing student to 80 singers, guitarists, bassists and keyboard players attending my lessons. I then developed into teaching songwriting, music production and music theory. My passion is to help students discover their musical strengths. Knowing where your voice sounds the best gives you incredible confidence. My lessons are highly catered to help you improve as quickly as possible in the styles you want to play. Students can expect an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher in their corner with their musical interests at heart. I've taught absolute young beginners, retiree's who've always wanted to learn, prodigious teenagers who play everything and write amazing songs, church music teams trying to capture something special for their communities, empty nesters with notebooks full of unfinished songs. I'm always amazed at how a mutual love of music shared with a student can energise my own musical pursuits, time and time again.
