About Antonio M.

Antonio resides in Fresno, California. He has been playing drums for over 14 years. He has performed extensively around the central valley and California. He studied classical theory and has a BA degree in Jazz Performance from CSU, Fresno State. Awards and merits include Outstanding Overall College Performer of the 2007 Reno Jazz Festival, winner of the regional guitar center drum off for 2003 and 2008. He has taught privately for 6 years and at Fresno schools including ACEL Charter High School, Kipp Charter and currently at Kepler Charter. Antonio has shared the stage opening for act such as Heart, The English Beat, The Doobie Brothers, The Wailers, The Skatalites, Vodoo Glow Skulls, The Aggrolites, The Toasters, Fishbone, Long Beach Dub All-Stars, Christian McBride Trio, Tera Melos, Ape Machine, Bilal, Black Milk, Twinkle Brothers and more. His drumming style can be credited to some of his favorite drummers including John Bonham, Elvin Jones, Chris Dave, Bill Ward, Zigaboo Modeliste, Dave Grohl, Mitch Mitchell, J-Dilla and Jon Theodore.
