I am a professional actor, singer, dancer, and writer, and I have a BFA in musical theatre. While the bulk of my experience is in musicals, I have had the opportunity to learn from seasoned Broadway, film, and TV performers, and I am ready to pass that knowledge on to you. Whether you are interested on stage, film, or TV, I can help you find ways to finesse and develop all your characters. We will initially focus on developing a process that'll help you bring your characters to life as well-rounded humans. We will ask the questions and go over methods to research how a character of specific backgrounds might behave. This process will evolve with you as we work on more and more scenes, and you will discover how to get more and more comfortable with the choices you make as an actor. If you're interested in musical theatre, we will also work on a method to develop your songs, ensuring that you can earn each moment as your character progresses through. Additionally, we will go over how to select audition songs and cuts that will make you stand out at your auditions. While I am not a voice teacher, I will help you connect with the core of each song and I can give you tips on how to tell a full story, even in those tricky 16 or 32-bar cuts.
