Guitar with Andrew G.

My name is Andrew G. I am a 28-year old guitar teacher who lives in Los Angeles. I have been playing guitar for 18 years. I have played professionally since 16 years of age, as a solo acoustic act and as a singer/guitarist in alternative, blues, metal and jam bands. I also have a degree in music from Northeastern University. I teach beginners through intermediate and advanced players. I establish a working knowledge of equal parts melody, harmony and rhythm in my lessons. I cover blues, rock, R&B, folk, metal and jazz styles of playing. I teach students strumming, picking and fingerstyle techniques for both acoustic and electric guitar. My passion for music is endless, and I love passing on what I know to my students. My goal as a teacher is to instill enough knowledge, skill and passion in each student that they can ultimately learn songs for themselves, as well as write their own music. I strive to inspire my students to challenge themselves musically and creatively.
