Like everything in life, flute playing is a journey. But who says you can't also enjoy the ride? (hint: you absolutely can enjoy the ride!) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Between performance highs and the disappointing rejections, I've felt it all. I understand what it's like to constantly compare yourself to others. I've heard all the mean self-talk my brain has said about my flute playing. And I know the constant questioning of  "am I good enough?" These lessons are about appreciating your own growth and progress! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By taking lessons with me, you will: -Develop an understanding of the fundamentals required for playing the flute. (Learn how to produce a beautiful tone, have fantastic finger technique, and establish your own musicality.) -Plant the seeds for mindfulness and reflection  (This is something that can be applied to all aspects of your life, not just music!) -Develop and practice self-kindness (Nobody has time for self-rudeness, but we do it to ourselves anyways! Let’s learn how to quiet that rude voice in our heads.) -Challenge yourself to grow musically and non-musically (Have you ever had an idea for something or a goal but decided against it because of this or that? Well now is the time to dig that idea or goal back out! Nothing is too big or too small!) -Establish a community of supportive friends (Who doesn’t love making new friends?!) ​
