Learning music can be overwhelming but Jesse made the process equal parts exciting, artistic, and intellectual. He is able to explain concepts better than any music teacher I have ever had (and I have tried many). He was able to meet me where I was at, inspire me when I was struggling and encourage me when I was excelling. I look forward to my lesson with Jesse every week and he has guided me from being a hopeful, dejected fangirl to being a confident, well-rounded musician.
Jeremy
I'm so happy with how fast I have advanced learning to play. What I like the most is that I have been learning chord theory, technique, practice methods, and music theory, all at the same time. Jesse makes it easy to assimilate all this information by gauging your progress and giving you only the information you need to succeed.
Haley
I started learning how to play the guitar 3 years ago and I hit a plateau with my playing. Finally signed up to take lessons and I’ve been studying with Jesse for 7 months now and made more progress during this time than I had in the first 2.5 years of playing! He is always prompt, professional, and does a fantastic job teaching online (which can be very challenging for problem-solving). He is also a very caring teacher and wants his students to get what they want out of lessons. Highly recommend him as a teacher!

What's the difference between a violin and a fiddle?
According to the age old joke, "a fiddle is fun to listen to!"

While there's really no difference in instrument, only in style, and with no disrespect meant to Classical violin, my other passion, if you're looking to loosen up and have fun playing along with others by ear, then fiddle may be for you!

Though my specialty is Celtic music, particularly Irish, I can help you learn the basics of any style of fiddle music that catches your interest, including Old time/ American, Bluegrass, Scottish, and more! Lessons are focused on learning songs by ear and building a solid foundation in basic instrument skills that will allow you to play with ease and style with a focus on what -you- want to learn!
