I am a passionate, energetic, humorous, patient cello instructor. I have been teaching since 2008. Within these years, I taught the private lesson, group lesson, music theory and studio class of all ages and all levels. One of my ten years old student got the highest score of the Asian-Pacific Region in Grade two cello exam of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music only after one year learning from me. I have abundant experiences for helping students not only learning music and cello but also enjoying lots of fun from it. I also helped my students for preparing their solo recitals, summer festival auditions, competitions, and performing arts high school auditions. I am sure you will fully in love with the sound you make after learning from me. Let me help you to accomplish your aspirations.

While not a concert or symphony level player, I have been providing quality lessons and guidance to beginners and intermediate players of all ages and interest for years. As with all of my lessons, I provide a core curriculum as well as customizing to the student's needs and interest. In my teaching, I focus on developing strong technical foundation, which is crucial to develop at a very early stage for a future success, and nurturing students’ creativity and natural musical talents. As an active concert musican, I understand challenges that students may face in learning cello and how inspiring can be a productive practicing! I don't teach how to play and be dependant on a teacher, but rather how to analyze and enhance your practicing patterns, listen to yourself, think, be creative and independant: everything that encompasses joy of playing music
I help my students to build up their resume for university applications: audition to honor orchestras, win competitions, pass CM and RCM tests. My students successfully compete at International and National competitions and are members of different orchestras including Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, All Southern California Elementary Honor, San Juan Capistrano and Irvine Honor Orchestras, Orange County Youth ...
