Janet really put me at ease as I was a bit nervous. She identified areas where I was reasonably strong and areas where we should strive for improvement, and (what seemed to me) innovative ways to achieve improvement. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson!

My son loved his 1st lesson, and is looking forward to more.

Janet loves music, loves teaching, and loves people. You will not find a more dedicated and compassionate teacher of the arts. In the 14 years that I have known Janet, music, teaching, and family has been her priority. Her skills continuously grow as she has explored music in many different settings such as early childhood music, piano accompaniment, and choir singing.

My lessons are uniquely tailored to each student's goals, while rooted in brass fundamentals (air, time, technique). I ask upfront what short term and long term goals you may have, then build a personal practice routine to achieve those goals and set new ones.

I make my living performing a wide range of styles, such as funk & soul, big band jazz, top 40s hits & pop music, musical theater work, and more.

I look forward to hearing what you want to learn, how you want to sound, where you want to play, and helping you get there!

I have been teaching Voice for 1 year and my students have been able to sing in bands, gain more confidence when singing, and perform out. Within the first few lessons, you will be able to learn different vocal exercises that will help strengthen your voice and help you expand your vocal register. As time goes on you will be able to confidently sing different styles, and feel more confident singing those high and low notes. I specialize in genres such as pop/rock/folk and provide guidance and beginner level books for students to work on. I also require for students to record each lesson on a recorder/cell phone/iPod/or iPad so that they can listen and practice along with each lesson. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and cannot wait to meet you!

About Neguine

Neguine has been teaching private lessons since March of 2016 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home and her apartment in Arlington, MA. Neguine has helped students accomplish new skills in vocal training, guitar, songwriting, and works with all kinds of individuals such as indiv

Neguine teaches piano to my two children, ages 8 and 6, and she’s been wonderful. She comes to our house and immediately the house is a calm friendly place to learn music. She’s patient with my kids who love piano but are still little, and she has a good sense of humor when they want to try something a little quirky. They also have been making great strides with sightreading, and their eagerness to learn more has only increased. Neguine also does not rush the kids: If a child needs to repeat part of a lesson for another week as she is good about making sure kids reinforce what they’re learning, which is something I appreciate, and my kids have learned to appreciate that too. I highly recommend her!

The greatest joy in teaching a musical instrument is seeing the student learn, develop and eventually evolve into a proficient musician. Each lesson that I teach focuses on theory and harmony, and also includes songs that the student wants to learn. Incorporating ear training, sight reading, scales, chords and improvisation will also be part of the music curriculum. I vow to make learning the piano or keyboard a fun and educational experience!

About Joseph

I began studying the piano at the age of seven and have taken lessons for fifteen years. My teachers Lillian Dickstein and Dr. Richard Vallis were both Juilliard graduates. In addition, I studied jazz improvisation, arranging, and composition with Angelo Mussolino. I also have worked as a Director

Whether you're tackling singer-songwriting, accompaniment, pop/rock, jazz/funk/r&b, or even classical exercises, I can help you. I've studied piano/voice/guitar long enough to know what each kind of instrumentalist/vocalist needs. I'm well versed in a overview of all genres and styles, as well as specialized areas of study. As a writer, I'm also very familiar with coaching instrumentalists geared towards composition and arranging. If you're looking to improve your skills, I can help!

About Jake

I want to teach the material that excites students. After a handful of really crummy experiences with teachers who wanted me to learn a specific way, I stumbled across a music school in Philadelphia and a college in Boston that really got the principle of teaching what students are drawn to. Bruc

I've been teaching piano for over 20 years and I remain eager to share music with others, help them explore it for themselves and receive It's many benefits.
I try to find the best approach for each one of my students depending on their interests, and I usually incorporate various techniques, including reading, improvisation, memorization and analysis of music.I place emphasis on methods of practicing that yield the best results and best use of practice time.
I always feel that learning music should be a fun and rewarding experience and I strongly feel that the process of learning music is as important, if not more than the end result.

"My main regret is that I did not start with him when I was much younger!

I have had the pleasure of lessons from Jesse Horner for two years. I started when I was 73 years old and never had any music training before, so I started from scratch. Jesse has been great in guiding me in the direction I seemed to want to go. With almost 40 years experience, I think Jesse has experience and knowledge of every aspect of music theory, guitars and guitar playing(also Ukuleles). He makes the lessons enjoyable and is very flexible and understanding in his teaching process. My main regret is that I did not start with him when I was much younger!

"This was my first vocal training ever, and I am so glad I had Christine for an instructor! As soon as I signed up, Christine called me, introduced herself, asked me questions regarding my experience in singing, goals, and discussed other areas concerning the training. I lacked confidence in singing, especially singing in front of others. I was also experiencing vocal fatigue and hoarseness due to incorrect singing and inadequate breath support. Christine educated me on my vocal anatomy (which is very important for signers) and went out of her way to give me additional diagrams and aids to assist my developing strong, correct, vocal techniques. She has an incredible, can do, personality that I needed and made me so comfortable. She is passionate about training students. She has a great ear for tone and pitch, and her style of teaching is built around being patient, positive, and other attributes that make learning fun. Christine is determined to help you meet or exceed your goals. I am so grateful that I met Christine!"

Singing Lessons: Before and After [Best Transformation Videos]

The transformation in vocal students before and after singing lessons is truly inspiring. As a singing teacher, it really is amazing to watch students learn to do everything from match pitches to mix belt like a Broadway star. Have you ever wondered what you would sound like if you took voice lessons? Although every singer’s results will be different, YouTube has a variety of before and after singing lessons videos, so you can hear the typical results of vocal study. These three tr …
