I am an orchestral clarinetist, K-12 music teacher and home school parent offering Christian clarinet lessons to students ages 10 and older. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA, a Master of Arts in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and I have studied with teachers who graduated from Julliard and Manhattan School of Music. I have also been influenced by the teaching style and signature sound of clarinetist David Weber, as well as Russian and Slavic traditions of teaching, all of which emphasize the art of clarinet playing - the combination of proper technique with fluent, beautiful musicality. I have a passion to help my students enjoy making music for the glory of God and offer lessons which are fun and inspiring!

I have been teaching private lessons now for over two years. I specialize in teaching children and teens and am a student favorite at Take Lessons with a collection of wonderful reviews from students and their parents. I am a very thorough and patient teacher. However, I expect a MINIMUM of three days a week of practice from all of my students at a length of time equal to lesson length. Without adequate practice, the student cannot flourish in fine-tuning their skills and could ultimately end up disappointed. This is completely avoidable with diligent practice.
For my younger students (ages 6-11) I utilize the Little Singers series of text written by Gregory Blankenbehler. For ages 12 and up, I utilize The Contemporary Singer: Elements of Vocal Technique written by Anne Peckham, one of my most influential Berklee professors. In addition to these texts I incorporate the use of the Vaccai: the Practical Method of Italian Singing as well as many various traditional, jazz, pop, and r&b ...
I am a piano-playing singer/songwriter and graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music focusing on songwriting, performance, and teaching. I was a leader of my high school music ministry (choir) for four years (Bishop Brady H.S., Concord NH) and volunteered as a 2nd gra
Words will never be enough to express what Danielle has done for my daughter and her love of singing. Danielle has shown so much patience and commitment through her instruction and has boosted my daughters confidence 110%. She knows how to chose the perfect song for Alexis' voice and the emails that she sends after each session provide the proper tools for my daughter to carry out her 1 hour session to a full week. I could not have picked a better vocal coach for my daughter.

I especially like the fact that he sends videos for the homework.

Have you hit a roadblock in your trumpet playing? Is your child not seeing progress from playing in their school band? Need help with your All-State audition? Picking up a hobby for the quarantine? Look no further!
My approach to the trumpet is one that starts with the sound of the music playing in my head. Once I can get you to hear beautiful trumpet sounds playing in your own head, you will find that playing the trumpet is as easy as blowing spit wads through a straw!
My students get a weekly dose of fundamentals that include long tones, flexibility, and articulation. Once those are in place, we can apply those skills learned to a musical etude. You can expect to cover as much material (or as little) as you want in a given week; I will pace your lessons according to your ability level and desire. But with the right amount of deliberate practice, I can help you become a truly great trumpeter.
Let's get this fired up!

I was given techniques to better prepare exercises and studies. Davis will suggest tools to improve playing: method books, reading, videos and work sheets.

Having a world-class teaching like David Blumberg is gold to me. I am past 68 now and I have never had so much fun working with my clarinet."
I am a busy professional in my 50s that wanted to learn how to play the electric bass. After searching the web for in home lessons I found Jonathan Greenberg.
Jonathan is an absolute professional with the ability to quickly connect with a student at their level. I have already learned an amazing amount in 4 weeks and have confidence that Jonathan will have me playing at a high level in a very short time period.
He gives me "homework" and he follows up to determine if I am staying with it.
A great mannerism and teaching style make Jonathan a teacher well worth asking for.
Thank you :
Very professional and knowledgeable. Always have a great time. Makes learning fun. My child enjoys the lessons and then going home to practice. Flexible with arrangements when needed. Will continue to go and learn. Would not want another teacher for my child."
Learning guitar barre chords, or chords created while clamping down all six strings with your index finger, intimidates many guitar students. However, these new chords don't need to be so scary! Austin guitar teacher Samuel B. breaks down five reasons why learning barre chords is not so bad... I maintain little to no doubt that learning guitar barre chords is the most challenging advance for a student. Along the way there, I recommend practicing chords such as F (which involves holding down t …
