After speaking to multiple tutoring companies, we discovered Matthew. Matthew was very professional and made my son feel comfortable. They had a total of 5 tutoring sessions covering Math, English, Science and Reading. My son took the ACT after his tutoring sessions and scored a 23. We were very pleased with the progress our son made by going from an ACT score of 19 to 23 after only 5 sessions with Matthew. I would highly recommend Matthew J. Horwich to anyone needing tutoring.

Matthew explained his approach to coaching and the plan so we were able to make an educated choice on the best tutor for our son. Matthew was responsive, organized and worked very well with our son. He communicated directly with our son and cc:ed me so that I was aware of the plan and f/u. His scores did improve on the SAT and we were pleased with the investment.

Matt has been awesome for my student. His math skills have improved greatly, and his writing has come from illegible to what can now be described as neat and readable. Matt has been very patient and deliberate with our son and has taken the time to really explain things to Jake in a way he can understand. We would recommend this tutor to any parent looking for a tutor for their grammar school student! Matt is also reliable and prompt and showed up when expected which was helpful with our very busy schedules.
***ADDRESSES WITHIN REMOTE AREAS (no public transit or bicycle access) DIFFICULT TO SERVICE PHYSICALLY. Lesson cancellations and schedule changes need to be submitted through Takelessons.com student website, relieve busy teacher from multiple informal requests***
My style and attitude toward teaching is a balance between subject delivery and reflective, supportive interaction. I seek to enable current research on education for busy, yet goal-driven student interests. This is done through customized online lessons coordinating the experience with optimal resources and tools: ESL and Speech students learn to monitor their own phonological issues with dedicated software/feedback, guiding German students through conversational dialogues, and ensuring relevant resources for Excel and related productivity lessons.
Due to my limited funds
, I do not have direct experience with the Adobe suite, but I have extensive knowledge of related, free distributions that are transferable. Possibly the only PhD on Takelessons server from a regionally accredited university, I am a member of the American Council on Foreign Language Learning and the Association for Language Learning. My most popular subjects are as follows:
North American English Pronunciation Practice for ESL (NAEPP-ESL) or Accent-Reduction: *****Each Online Lesson with Free Video & MP3 recordings, and about 50 GB onedrive folder for lesson files*****
Carefully following Burkkowsky's (1969) multi-media method, I have taught this subject for over five years for public and private causes, such as library, individuals, and language schools. German Language and Culture: *****Each Online Lesson with Free Video & MP3 Recordings and about 50 GB onedrive folder for lesson files*****
Microsoft Excel: ***It is recommended students own or have regular access to a personal computer after 2002 in order to get the best benefit***
Typing: ***It is recommended students own or have regular access to a personal computer after 2002 in order to get the best benefit***
Dr. Gokcedag has been able to identify and target very specific problems in my speech. His method is very effective. He is an excellent teacher!

Among the accent reduction teachers that I had before, Erol is the only one who actually could find the problems in my accent! The program he uses is very useful. The way he explains things or exaggerates the mistakes will help me to correct my accent. Overall, an awesome experience and I would totally recommend him to anyone.

Prottoy is a very knowledgeable instructor and definitely knows the material well. Being from a finance background, learning programming is important as it is the future of the industry. Learning technical skills takes some time, but Prottoy made it easier for me to grasp and explained concepts very well. Would definitely recommend to any beginner learning programming for the first time!

"This is a letter of recommendation for Katherine Veze who was been employed with the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Youth Development Program worki
ng with Traveling Enrichment. Ms.Veze’s main duties are to interact with students at various schools throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District during the after school program. She works with the multimedia group instructing students on the use of computers.
She is sympathetic to the needs of the students and offers support when possible. She works well with staff and management at the various sites and is very friendly, courteous and conscientious.
Katherine is an asset to our program and I am confident she will be an asset to any organization she is associated with, whether it is working at a school or in the work force supporting children."
"I did not know what to expect, so I went in with low-expectations, Jay exceeded my expectations and I would say it is well worth the investment. Very plea

"Joanne is a great teacher - very knowledgable, easy to approach, she always follows through, always on time, explains everything well, answers questions,
available for help with homework if needed. For the first class, she sent all materials and downloads beforehand with clear instructions so we won't spend time on it during class, that was very helpful. Thanks for your time and informative classes, Joanne."
"After showing each rule or procedure, Josh asks you to do the steps so that he knows you understood. He is open to teaching either slower or faster at yo
ur request and offered to help, at no extra charge, if you have a problem using an interactive software tool he can use from his home computer. He is a master in Photoshop software."
