If you’re interested in learning photography – congratulations! Photography is a fun, practical hobby as well as an exciting career. Although learning photography does take a little patience, the rewards are certainly worth it. So, let’s start with the benefits of why you should learn photography.
- The ability to record special events like a child’s birthday, graduation or the family’s vacations with clear, focused well composed photographs.
- Never missing a picture of a special moment because you were searching for the right button or dial.
- Taking photos that you and your loved ones will enjoy displaying on your wall. By capturing your special memories in pictures, you can have a way to document and pass on these memories to future generations.
- Communicating through your photographs. A picture really is worth a thousand words! You can capture an expression that says it all. Or as we've seen in magazines like Time and National Geographic, you can shoot photographs ...

I have experience guiding people ages 3-93 through the process of creating art.
I instruct using basic principles of visualization and feeling mixed with practiced technique. I am a professional artist who enjoys sharing my skills and seeing other people learn to express themselves.
I have been involved in many different Art Worlds since the age of 11. To me it seems like a journey through different lands, acquiring skills and learning about people, lands, and styles of art the whole way. My paintings have been in juried shows, outdoor fairs, galleries, residences, and busines

Watercolors are my recommendation for those starting out. I will teach you how to draw/paint what you see. I don't teach you cookie-cutter "how to paint a horse" type of lesson, because this limits you to only draw a specific thing. With me, you will learn the theories of drawing or painting and have the opportunity to practice it with me as your guide. Once you understand the theory behind transferring what you see onto paper, you can draw/paint any subject!
What is unique about my lessons is I not only teach students the techniques of observational drawing or painting, but the theory and strategies of creating and self-expression. I help students discover or improve their unique visual language in order to make art that is meaningful and personal.
Boris Ostrerov earned and MFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013. While in school, he learned to paint and draw both representationally and abstractly with various mediums. Since 2008, Ostrerov has taught art classes to beginner adults and children. H
Upon arrival he asked great questions to understand our level of experience with acrylic painting, and walked us through tutorials on techniques before we started the main topic. Then during the lesson he was patient and adaptable as my girlfriend and I expressed our individual art styles. Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing way to expand their skills and experiences.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING LESSONS
Abstract Painting uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstract art, non figurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are loosely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.
