About Kelvin

I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional musician and educator with solid experience in the classroom. For the past 25 years, I have been employed with Amati music academy and seven years on the faculty of University of St Francis.
I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone color, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition. I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Double Masters in music performance and education from University of Nottingham.
I am proficient in classical, jazz and Celtic fiddle violin and possess solid skills in piano (grade 8-13) Royal conservatory system.
Throughout my teaching career, I have been driven to help students achieve their very best. I str

ongly believe that music has the power to change lives – to enhance the social, cultural and spiritual lives of people, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression. Professional perform experience: The Chicago, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Three tours with Moody Blues, YoYo Ma etc....
The most important thing I look for in a student is communication skills, as well as talent. I like to nurture students and help identify their individual strengths, which is a key factor in shaping a musical persona that will make its mark both on and offstage. I do not advocate a uniform technique for all students. Physical differences and learning styles are always taken into consideration. Potential is as important to me as early achievements and experience. My goal is to help students become self-sufficient, discriminating artists. I discuss practice techniques often and develop individualized scale routines. I encourage initiative and expressive musicality as well as precision. Above all, music needs to bring obvious joy to the student, regardless of the difficulties.”

About Erol

***ADDRESSES WITHIN REMOTE AREAS (no public transit or bicycle access) DIFFICULT TO SERVICE PHYSICALLY. Lesson cancellations and schedule changes need to be submitted through Takelessons.com student website, relieve busy teacher from multiple informal requests***

My style and attitude toward teaching is a balance between subject delivery and reflective, supportive interaction. I seek to enable current research on education for busy, yet goal-driven student interests. This is done through customized online lessons coordinating the experience with optimal resources and tools: ESL and Speech students learn to monitor their own phonological issues with dedicated software/feedback, guiding German students through conversational dialogues, and ensuring relevant resources for Excel and related productivity lessons.

Due to my limited funds

, I do not have direct experience with the Adobe suite, but I have extensive knowledge of related, free distributions that are transferable. Possibly the only PhD on Takelessons server from a regionally accredited university, I am a member of the American Council on Foreign Language Learning and the Association for Language Learning.
My most popular subjects are as follows:

North American English Pronunciation Practice for ESL (NAEPP-ESL) or Accent-Reduction:
*****Each Online Lesson with Free Video & MP3 recordings, and about 50 GB onedrive folder for lesson files*****

Carefully following Burkkowsky's (1969) multi-media method, I have taught this subject for over five years for public and private causes, such as library, individuals, and language schools. German Language and Culture:

Microsoft Excel:

Among the accent reduction teachers that I had before, Erol is the only one who actually could find the problems in my accent! The program he uses is very useful. The way he explains things or exaggerates the mistakes will help me to correct my accent. Overall, an awesome experience and I would totally recommend him to anyone.

About Victor

I'm Victor C., a Spanish Tutor and a Python programmer. I have been tutoring for over 10 years and have had great success with students of all ages, college students and adult professionals, from all over the world.

In Python I worked with students from the basics to advanced projects including Data Science tools like Pandas, then Web Scraping projects, to Machine Learning projects using Neural Networks, and even creating an app using Java that uses a machine learning model using Python.

For my Spanish students I've helped them learn the language quickly by incorporating real life scenarios into my lessons. In order to perfect their pronunciation my students interact with native Spanish speaking people that do not know any English to test their learned skills.

I look forward to working with you to reaching all of your academic

and professional goals. Just send me a message, I'll be happy to help you.

About Kev

I am a professional software developer with experience in C++, Perl, SQL, Java, C#, and Python. I completed a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2003. While a graduate student I taught beginning computer skills to freshman college students. After completing graduate school I worked as a SQL Server DBA for a year and since then I have been a Java software developer while occasionally using other languages.

My teaching technique involves beginning with the end in mind. In the first beginning class you will be given a complete computer program showing all the major concepts required for beginning students to learn which is about 15 weeks worth of material. By the end of the first lesson you will understand how it all works together. The remainder of the beginning classes flesh out more detail from that first computer program.

For advan

ced students we will go into the tools and practices that professional software developers use to make themselves more productive. These include unit testing, build automation, and source control management. We will also cover the language you choose in more detail.

About Melissa

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Melissa Miles was fourteen years old when she was given her first camera. As a teenager, she loved taking pictures of her friends at school with a 35 mm film camera and it was the Church photographer who encouraged her flourishing interest in photography.
Melissa studied photography and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in photography. During her college years, she spent time on campus shooting photos for the university’s newspaper, ‘Sidelines’ and served as the photo editor.
Over the past several years, she has expanded her photographic knowledge learning Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-processing digital images. Today, she enjoys creating composites from thousands of images I’ve shot over the years. Melissa also enjoys pet photography, graduate and

senior, lifestyle and branded photography. “It’s important to keep up-to-date with new photography techniques and trends in post-processing.” Melissa continues her education through webinars, online classes, and contests. I enjoy teaching and helping others get off to a great start. It can be complicated but with the right lessons the process is much smoother. She is also a member of Professional Photographers of America.
