Wonderful first lesson! Thank you.

We recently started piano lessons with Ms Lydia and we can’t say enough good things. Our daughter Emerson asks each day if Ms Lydia is coming to play piano. And we believe that is because of Ms Lydia's positive attitude, happy personality and ability to make learning music so much fun! Ms Lydia has already taught my daughter so much in regards to music and reading notes. Emerson enjoys each lesson so much that she practices the piano on her own. We are so grateful for Ms Lydia. She’s engaging, caring and her passion for music is contagious!

Lydia is a great teacher! She selects great music for my level and offers me suggestions to improve my ability. I enjoy practicing everyday and she never gets frustrated when I make mistakes but shows me correct fingering.

I began playing at 13 years old, and have taken lessons from many other teachers and now I'm 69 and have MS, she does a great job with me!

Kelvin was an incredible teacher! He somehow made the very technical art of origami a bit easier to digest and do on our own from home. He was supportive and cheering us on, and his passion for origami was extremely evident. We can't wait to work with him again. Thanks, Kelvin!

I specialize in jazz piano but I teach all styles and am open to whatever pieces the student is interested in. If there is a piece with difficult-to-find sheet music I offer services for transcribing the piece to sheet music for the student and/or teaching the piece by ear to the student. Piano is a very important instrument for all musicians as it vastly improves one's hand-eye coordination, two-hand coordination, and sense of rhythm, and forces the player to cover melody and harmony at the same time. My students learn to love the piano, develop healthy practice habits that ensure steady improvement, and gain a deep understanding of musicality and the history of music.

About Matthew

I have been playing piano for over twenty years and have been teaching private lessons since 2010. I have a bachelors in classical piano and music composition from Wheaton College, where I was the winner of the 2009 Ben Heppner Concerto Competition, and a masters in jazz piano from the Jacobs Scho

My name is Donny, and I have been teaching piano for nearly 8 years now. From beginners to advanced and from young children to adults, I have taught hundreds of students. Educationally, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition, during which I furthered my middle and high school piano studies by taking lessons from a piano professor every semester. Through my experience of working individually with students, I know that everyone has their own unique mind and natural tendencies when it comes to learning music or an instrument, and finding what works best for each person is an essential element of my teaching I take joy in. I also will help you with the disciplinary aspect of learning the piano which results in steady improvement, while creating a learning environment that is enjoyable, to keep your interest and love for the piano alive. With practice and patience, we can ensure you will soon be excelling in the skill of music. A gift that keeps on giving to you and those who know ...

"Ilona is an EXCELLENT piano teacher and we are so happy we found her!

My daughter, who is 13, once again loves playing piano thanks to Ilona. About 3 years ago, our first piano teacher moved away, and it was a major challenge replacing her. We tried 3 piano teachers over the past 3 years, before finding Ilona. Ilona is a breath of fresh air, a true professional and has an impeccable teaching style, second to none. My daughter is now practicing every day and can't wait for her weekly hour lesson. It is a pleasure and a privilege to have such an amazing individual teaching my daughter piano! We could not be happier. Ilona is definitely a class act!!"
