Emily is a great teacher. This is my son's first time playing guitar and he has gotten really good. She teaches him music theory too. And, he gets to play all kinds of songs including classical.

Miss Brown is an awesome piano and guitar teacher. When I retired a few years ago I took piano with her. Now she's teaching me how to play guitar. Since I know how to play piano, it's so much easier to learn guitar. She's teaching me how to play in a band too. We jam together me playing guitar and she plays piano. Miss Brown makes everything easy to learn. I'm having so much fun learning to play music!

Piano is the general instruction of the instrument. I have taught lessons for over 23 years where I have been traveling to the homes.
The students learn not only the general concepts but they also learn Theory which is the understanding of what lies underneath the music itself.
I have an easy going personality with the students learning how to play the piano, but I also want the students to work to their full potential.
The students learn not only the basics of the piano itself, but they also play fun songs, such as popular songs that they know.

About Teresa

I am a graduate of Northern IL University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I have 22 years of teaching experience where I have traveled to the homes. Students enjoy my passion that I have with the instrument. I started teaching in 1991 and have been teaching several students since

Thank you Terry for your patience this is a great experience for me, being 33 hasn’t stopped me from learning the piano and Terry is very patient with me.

She doing a wonderful job!!!!!!

My daughters had their first piano lesson today with Terri. I can honestly say that I’ve never met anyone so patient and sweet natured and professional like Terri. The first time I spoke to her on the phone reflected her nature in person. Shes very knowledgeable with the piano music. She knows how to level herself with my 7 year old and specially with my know it all 5 year old. After the lessons she updated me with their progress and commented on my kids strengths and weaknesses. She just didn’t talk to me as her client but she talked to me like a friend. Her smile radiated through the music she teaches. We all loved her.

It was only a first lesson but I can already tell I'm going to be taking more lessons with Daniel. He's very knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated. He detailed a specific plan for me to work on that isn't too rigid or boring, I'm looking forward to relearning the flute with him.

Piano is such a great instrument not only to play but to learn music theory along side learning how to play.

The very layout of the piano tells the structure of music theory.

Beginner-
We will go straight into learning scales & Rhythm and how to play those chords "clean" (sounding properly) and in "time" (the musical tempo of music). From there you will learn to play groups of chords one after another and how it will teach you to create your own music and also show you how certain groups of chords you learn to play are in the music you are already listen to. After that we will learn to develop your listening ear to hear a song and how to "play by ear" and read chord charts.

Intermediate: You will learn how to play one chord many different ways on the piano. This is called "voicings." You will then learn the many voicing of all the guitar chords. You will learn different rhythms, and odd time. Know the difference between A6/9 A9 Amaj9? You will also learn extended chords ...

Is it hard to learn a musical instrument? That’s usually the first question
people ask. My answer? Not at all! I teach music in three
easy steps: Speak, Read, Write. "Speaking" music simply means learning to
listen and play your instrument. Reading and Writing are what allow you to
pick up your favorite piece of music and learn it on your own, just like
reading a book. Whether you want to play in a concert hall or in your living
room, I will give you the knowledge and technique to help you make
music a part of your life.

About Kathryn

Hi there! I am a professional opera and choral singer, pianist/accompanist, and Celtic harpist. I love all animals (especially dogs), and baking goodies for my friends, family, and students! I hold an MM in Voice, summa cum laude, from UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, and a BA in Music, magna

"I had wanted to know how to play piano for years. When I found "Uncle Dave's" Music after trying to learn from others, I was very happy. Not only because he made learning the piano fun, but made it easy to learn! He had used mnemonic ways as well to help with learning different keys and chords.
Dave also taught me "bass guitar." I also took voice lessons from him! When I sang in front of an audience, they were asking, "Where did you get a voice like that?"
I had to tell them about "Uncle Dave's Music." Dave is fun and patient with teaching. I would recommend him to anyone seriously wanting to learn."
