I am patient, experienced and creative. I realize that each student learns differently and may have different priorities regarding what they want to learn to play. Because of my many years of experience, and the fact that I had outstanding teachers myself, I can successfully teach many different kinds of students at different levels. I am a creative musician and like to incorporate some creative aspects such as improvising and composing into the lessons for student who are interested. Please take a look at my website to see what an interesting career I have had as a performer.

A solid, artistic, and flexible piano technique from the beginning. One of the fundamental parts in learning to play piano is to learn the basics of piano technique, which includes proper posture of the body when sitting to play piano, proper fingers, hands, and arms position. The development of the arm and hand flexibility in order to learn the legato and staccato performance from the beginning of the piano studies.

Throughout my 20 years of teaching experience I have developed different methods for children and adults to build a flexible and artistic piano technique that has worked with all my students.

The proper use of the arm rotation, wrist flexibility and how the wrists and arms help to lead the direction of the phrases are fundamentals to attain a beautiful and rich tone .

Great teacher! Knowledgeable and patient

My daughters and I have been taking lessons with Jesus for over 6 months now. I have been absolutely thrilled with Jesus’s lessons for both me and my two daughters. We have learned A LOT about the etiquette and technique of piano - including how to read music and properly position ourselves/our hands when playing. It’s not just about the music - it’s about how music transforms us and has the power to bring so much joy! Jesus is a very patient and caring teacher. I truly enjoy having him in our home and the girls are always excited for their lessons.

During this COVID crisis, Jesus has done his absolute best to teach us through Zoom lessons. He is always flexible, easy to talk to and fun to work with.

I would HIGHLY recommend Jesus to anyone looking for a dedicated and exceptionally trained teacher, who is always on time and excited to watch you succeed.

Thank you, Jesus!!! We adore you!!

Taking into account the countless stories I have heard of people lamenting piano lessons until they grew to resent the instrument, I am here to offset all that with fun lessons that are just as educational. In fact, students appear to learn more quickly when they are having a good time. I promise to introduce you to the piano in a way that sticks and enriches your life for years to come.

About Chaetan

Having played music for as long as I can remember (my father is an accomplished Jazz and Soul drummer), music has always been a key ingredient in my life. From playing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme on the drum set as a toddler, I have gone on to learn electric/classical/lap steel guitar, e

Great Beginner Guitar Lessons

I look forward to my weekly guitar lessons with Chaetan because he is a very knowledgeable, relaxed, and patient teacher. He tailors my lessons to meet my personal goals (learning those pinnacle acoustic songs). But as an exceptional instructor, he also guides me to meet goals he has for me as a student, such as learning to build chords on my own. The quality of his instruction has already increased my progress on the instrument. Overall, his talent and interest in music motivate me to practice so I am fortunate to have found Chaetan as my guitar teacher.

Excellent and Unique Teacher

Chaetan is a very friendly instructor who tailors his lessons to meet both the experience level and type of music a student is interested in. Chaetan has a lot of energy and makes the lessons fun. He appears to know every aspect of what he is teaching as well as plays other instruments. My daughter and I are both very happy with Chaetan.

"Daniela is wonderful and our lessons are always fun. She lets me play pieces that I enjoy plus introduces me to new music that she believes I will also enjoy. She allows me to play freely but will correct my mistakes (wrong fingering :). But this only make me a better player and learning a new piece easier. As an adult learner I cannot say enough good things about her and her style. I really enjoy my lessons with her and I highly recommend her."

"Mary was a fun and patient piano lesson teacher. I have never taken any music lessons before so we started with the basics but she did a good job of finding the pace that I learned at. She taught slow enough for me to catch on, but not too slow to where I felt like my 30 min lessons were a waste of time/money.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel the rest of my lessons with Mary because I was becoming too busy with work to stay committed to my lessons and practice. If I ever take lessons again I'll definitely sign up with Mary again, zero complaints."

Why Playing Slow is The Best Way to Practice Piano

Playing fast is cool. Audiences love to see fingers flying fast over the keys, effortlessly and in perfect control (or even out-of-control!) It provides a sense of exhilaration and danger, and taps into our love of exhibition and speed. The pianist themselves also enjoy playing fast, as the effort and exercise is satisfying once grasped. But despite the love of playing fast, the practice and journey to gain this ability is actually very much slow practice. There is a famous story of a co …
