My approach to teaching my students how to sing is to make sure they feel comfortable each moment of the way while implementing challenges that will allow them to grow as artist! I give my students the option to pick a song of their choice that they would like to work on and then I will pick a song for them that I feel will help them meet theirs goals as singers!

About Keanon

I love everything about teaching! I love music; it is my life. I sleep, breathe and dream music. I am a Columbia University Chicago graduate; I graduated with a degree in Music with a concentration in Classical Voice. I have performed in numerous operas and musicals, as well as, sung on Gospel Cru

Keanon is a GREAT teacher/artist/musician/mentor

I've been working with Keanon for almost a year now. Aside from being an amazing vocalist himself, he does everything he can to help students reach their full potential and find their voice. He makes lessons fun while constantly keeping you challenged. There's always encouragement from him to strive to be better, which can really bring the best out of singers. Whether you're simply singing for hobby, performing for shows/auditions, or ready to record, Keanon has something to offer to any aspiring musician. He has a passion and love for music and understands it's a gift that must be shared with the world.

Kim is a gentle, playful soul. I enjoyed every lesson because she found the positive each time while kindly educating me on areas for improvement. Kim sends out an email with a summary of the lesson and a reminder of the assigned practice for the week. If you are considering voice lessons, you’ll find no one better!
Rachel
Kim is incredibly knowledgeable in all genres/ styles of voice. I was fairly nervous to begin my singing journey in my 20s. However, Kim’s patience and encouragement really helped me to break out of my shell. She encouraged me to push myself and try new things. This really paid off. I learned a lot of warm ups, techniques, and songs. She truly cares about her students. She also emailed me a detailed note after each lesson summarizing what we worked on, and reminded me what I should practice. I hope to take my newfound instrument with me to an open mic night soon!
Tracy
Kim was my singing teacher for a few months before I went to college. As an excellent and knowledgeable singer herself, she always had the right input and guidance on anything I wanted to sing. Lessons felt self guided and relaxed, which helped me come out of my shell to do my own performances.

"Exceeds expectations

My daughter Julia has been taking singing lessons with Danielle since July. Julia is in second grade and this is her first time taking singing lessons. Danielle has devoted so much time to researching good vocal exercises and music selections for a young singer and also to learning the songs Julia was interested in singing. Danielle always follows up within 24 hours with the audio for the lesson and an encouraging email. Danielle is very patient with Julia and takes a genuine interest in her. She listens to the little stories Julia likes to share with her and remembers details of what Julia shares, and has even taken a little extra time to teach Julia a little about playing the keyboard. I can't say enough good things about Danielle. She is a fantastic teacher and a lovely person."

"Returning to fundamentals as an adult learner is very difficult and challenging but, at least in my case, very necessary. Annie has been a wonderful piano and voice teacher guiding me through this process - patient and kind, tolerant of my poor practice habits, and able to help me work on all aspects of my music. I would highly recommend her to any prospective student, and hope to continue working with her well into the future."

"Moni is such a wonderful teacher! I am a beginner singer, and have been her student for about 8 months. From the very beginning, Moni was careful to give me a solid foundation to build upon. She has taught me some of the key essentials of music theory, and really helps me understand how to use my voice as an instrument. Added bonuses are that she records me in her professional studio and sends me the tracks, and she's very cool and easy to talk to."
