My goal is get the guitar and music to make sense to YOU personally, so that you can help further your musical journey in your own time outside of lessons. Any style, genre, and skill level!

I work with the student to develop a curriculum based on their musical interests and my own teaching pedagogy. I strongly feel that for young musicians to own their education, they must have a say in what they play. Assigning method books and mindless etudes to practice doesn't have nearly the same effect asking them "Ok, what kind of music do YOU like? What do you want to PLAY? What do you want to LEARN?".

I believe that students learn best when they are invested in a subject, and the best way to get them invested is to individually get to know each one, speak to them on their level, and get them playing music they're interested in.

All styles and levels: Rock, Jazz, Classical, Folk, Reggae.

I am a student of the blues, roots and country and I have been teaching music to kids and adults for over five years. I have played in Asheville, North Carolina-based bands for over 10 years. My specialty and passion is fingerstyle Piedmont Blues (but I teach other styles as well). I try to gear each lesson to my students' strengths and make learning music fun!

HI! My name is Andrew, i'm 31 years old and I am a passionate guitarist and educator. I have been Playing guitar for 11 years now and i'm looking forward to sharing some of my knowledge with you! My specialties include blues, funk, classic soul, neo-soul, and a bit of jazz. I also recently graduated from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London for studying guitar performance. I have a very relaxed attitude towards teaching and try to make my students feel welcome while creating a pleasant learning environment. I understand that every student is unique, and I will work with my students to determine the appropriate curriculum and techniques to ensure they reach their full potential as guitarists/musicians. Kevin J. has been writing, recording, and playing music for over 25 years. Music is meant to be fun and it is his goal to help others enjoy music. He has been a teacher for 11 years and has composed hundreds of songs. He is passionate about teaching his students the songs they want to learn, no matter the difficulty. He specialized in guitar, drums, and song writing. Kevin has a great way of encouraging others to keep going no matter what challenge is in front of them.
