I was apprehensive in the beginning for my first in person ukulele lesson. I didn’t want to feel stupid or be a slow learner. But Chris Immediately made me feel comfortable and by the end of the lesson I felt I had made a friend. He is so knowledgeable and walked me through at my pace. After watching endless hours of YouTube ukulele videos, I finally understood the concepts with Chris’s help. Can’t wait till my next lesson with him.

Amazing teacher! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve with their instrument. Lessons are fun and based on what you want to learn. I'm lucky to have him as a teacher!

Xi is VERY knowledgeable of the art of horn playing. I understand what she is saying without difficulty. She knows what she is doing and her skill in teaching is above average. I’m so thankful to have found a teacher who respects where I am at 54 and how to help me get back in the game. The work is up to me of course, but she been very real and encouraging along the way. Well done!

Sean has been teaching my 10-year old son percussion for almost two years. Before covid, my son had lessons in-person. Since covid, my son has been doing lessons online. Sean has done an amazing job teaching my son in-person and online.

Sean really knows percussion. I've witnessed this both during lessons and when my family watched him perform with the Lone Tree Symphony. Sean is wonderful with kids. Although my son has attention issues, Sean is extremely patient, and he is able to efficiently redirect and focus my son. With Sean, music lessons are enjoyable. He has taken the time to get to know my son and how my son learns. I feel like the lessons are tailored extremely well for my child's abilities. Best of all, Sean is just a wonderful person. He's easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. My son looks forward to his lessons with Sean each week. You won't find a better percussion instructor!

From age seven, I have performed piano at concerts and piano competitions, playing solo, in small groups or with orchestra. Studying piano performance at the School for Talented Children for eleven years and later at music conservatory, I was groomed to perform piano on stage. In short, I have the personal experience that I apply to teaching piano performance. Specifically, I teach my students how to memorize music pieces, how to develop proper phrasing and how to convey emotion and beauty of a particular piece to the audience. I also help students who want to obtain certificates from Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM) or Trinity College London (TCL) to excel in these examinations.

About Ruth

I have played piano since I was six years old, when my parents enrolled me in my first music classes. I continued my music education while going to elementary, middle, and high school. Ultimately, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Music from Butler University, located in Indianapolis, Indiana

"Eric B. was the music instructor for both my children at the middle and high school they attended. Additionally, I taught with Eric for seven years.

My children received excellent music instruction in both trombone and flute. I was pleased with the rigor of the practice that was expected from Eric, which enabled dramatic growth in their musical ability. I was also pleased that they were both able to read music due to the instruction they were given under Eric's tutelage.

As I said earlier, I have worked with Eric as a colleague. I found him to be highly organized, student centered with regard to growth and performance, and a man of high character.

Eric created a Jazz band curriculum at the school corporation we taught at, where he developed several Jazz sections that would perform regularly in the community. Eric would invite notable guest musicians to work with the students and participate with them in these performances.

I would recommend Eric, without reservations, to anyone who desires a quality music instructor."

"Buzz is an excellent teacher and brings real world music experience into his instruction. As a touring musician, producer, song writer, and arranger, Buzz has an understanding of practical application. When I perform, I am always looking for ways to play smarter, and Buzz always helps with that. Buzz will break down music theory in a way that makes sense and that I can apply to my own playing on gigs and in rehearsal sessions. Buzz is a tremendous teacher for beginners (I have watched him give lessons to young students and he is excellent) , but if you are an experienced player and are just looking to get better, working with Buzz will get you there. I promise you'll play better after one lesson."

"I studied under Jordan when he was a TA at SDSU. He was laid back, easy to get along with, and always helpful when I had questions for him.
Since then, I've had the pleasure of performing in SDSU ensembles with Jordan. I mean it when I say it: Jordan is not only one of the best music teachers in San Diego, but he is also one of the best trombone players I've ever had the pleasure of knowing."

"My son, who is 10 and has been playing guitar for two years, has been taking Nick’s band class for the last 9 months and we are very happy with it. Nick is not only a great musician, but as a father himself knows well how to teach kids and make them engage in whatever they are playing.

He has taught my son not only how to play with well with other musicians, but also how to find his “voice” within a band both in the rhythmic and solo sections of the songs.

He was accommodating when we had to reschedule a class due to personal reasons, and is always willing to make the class a little bit longer if necessary to finish what they were practicing.

When the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to have the lessons remotely, he started to use ZOOM and, while things remotely cannot be the same, he did a great job at making sure that they stayed as close to true form as possible."

"I played in the Advent Band with Vandi as our worship leader for several years. Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious and she always provided positive, constructive criticism. Vandi's knowledge of music theory was demonstrated in her ability to arrange our songs to suit the various skill levels of the band members and the congregation! This is not an easy task and she handled it with ease and grace. I would highly recommend her as an instructor."
