Private Singing Teacher

Singers--and those who want to be--need opportunities to SING! Some are ready to shine and just need training. Others need training AND encouragement in an environment that feels safe and private, while they gain confidence, which slowly effects the sounds they make, allowing THEM to be ready to shine!

I specialize in working with beginners of all ages and with students at any level who know the style or styles of music they want to explore and master. My passion is working with my students in ways that prepare them to pursue their musical interests armed with technique, music-reading capabilities, and what I call the "building blocks" of music: knowledge of functional music theory and how to use it.

"Music theory" can sound daunting, but in fact it is fascinating, at least the way I teach it, using analogies appropriate to the age of the student, from chords like different types of sandwiches (yum!) to chord progressions like the materials and equipment used to build a house.

About Teresa

A musician since age 4, Teresa's dad took her early passion for music seriously. So she respects the power that parents have to foster their children's musical lives! She notes the many stories she has heard over the years: "If someone had just supported my interest"... "If my teacher had listened

Teresa is an amazing music teacher! This was my first time getting singing lessons, and I was really nervous going into it, but she did such a great job at helping me feel more comfortable in the beginning. She’s so kind and she’s a great teacher too. The techniques and skills that she taught me have been extremely helpful, and she teaches them in a really easy-to-understand way. I would definitely recommend her!

I have always loved singing! I sang everywhere I went, was in the choir at church and even lead our worship team during Sunday mornings. I have continued to sing and it has helped me with my other instrumental playing. I play the piano which helps with the accompaniment of singers. I have had a few singing students and we have had nothing short of a good time together! We will learn music together and have you singing your favorite songs like a champ in no time!

Outstanding instructor! Beckie is very positive and encouraging and my son has learned so much in just a few weeks. My son looks forward to his session each week. She is also an amazing musician herself and plays her instrument side by side with my son which allows him to hear and learn the individual notes.

"I am a 45 year-old with a life long dream to carry a tune. I have been nervous about approaching a music teacher because I have zero singing ability. One day I was brave and looked online for a local singing teacher and was extremely lucky to find Molly. She is incredible! I have been taking lessons for a few months and I can already carry a tune. I sing significantly better than I did 4 months ago. The magic of MOLLY!

I look forward to seeing Molly because I actually relax. I am an accountant and it's a stressful job. I turn my accountant brain off and focus on my session with Molly. My stress magically disappears as I learn the tunes to the song At Last by Etta James."
