I've taken Photoshop for the past five years and I absolutely love it and I love to teach it.

I'm a beginner with the violin and viola and an intermediate pianist. I was doubtful at first that I would be able to learn through a video chat. I'm amazed at the detail DeAndre can pick up just by watching a video chat. There have been many times when we just did the lesson over the phone with no video and he was able to tell that my fingering hand was in the wrong position or I was holding the bow wrong just by listening over the phone!
On and off through my life I've taken piano and viola lessons (I'm 46) and was never able to get very far. I found my teachers discouraged me in many ways without trying to. DeAndre has been fantastic. With his instruction I've been able to do things I never thought I would ever be able to do. He's excellent at giving feedback about the things I'm doing wrong but in a way that keeps me positive and makes me aware of the things I'm doing well and the things I need to improve.
DeAndre is absolutely worth the time and money.

I earned my degree at Boston University in Film and Television with a concentration in Psychology and a minor in Visual Arts. I work at Theory Studios and teach STEAM programs in NY as well as volunteer as a volleyball coach for young girls.

I am currently the Visual Arts Teacher as well as the Director of Advisory at Northside Charter High School in Brooklyn, NY. I have helped develop the school’s culture significantly over the past five years I have been there.
My mission at Northside Charter High School was to create a curriculum that shows our students that their presence is essential to the ever-changing arts community. This led to creating the curriculum for Northside Television, which is Northside's first web-based school news network. NTV has grown to become a staple in Northside’s community and has brought about positive changes to the culture of the school. My master's thesis based on this course entitled, “Media Production and its Role in Preparing High School Students to be 21st Century Learners”, provides data on how our program has brought new skill-sets to the senior cohort.
