Meghan dove right into the lesson, customizing it at the perfect level for our daughter's experience. We liked that she was prepared and maximized the time. She has a youthful personality and knowledge of pop songs which is a great personality fit with our 13 year old daughter. She also customized the lesson and song choice in a way that would appeal to my daughter. My daughter is actually excited to take lessons and is already planning her list of songs she wants to learn.

i am very new to singing and she totally made it a no pressure environment. she also made me feel empowered to try and explore exercises and techniques.

Sandi's a great drum teacher and is specifically great at connecting young burgeoning musicians and having them learn to play well together. This was especially important for me in helping me be comfortable playing in band settings which was and is the most important aspect of being a musician for me.

I just started taking lessons with Sandi this week. She was great and made it lots of fun! She made sure to gauge my skill level before I arrived, and prepared a fun first lesson for me. She is really skilled at telling how much challenge to give a student, which makes it fun for the student but also makes you want to practice and come back to learn more! Sandi is laid back, very approachable and super friendly. She’s a wealth of information on music, equipment, and even is helpful with booking classes through the website!
Kristen
This is my Second attempt at learning guitar - my first attempt with a different teacher ended before I could strum a song. Sandi’s teaching style makes learning guitar enjoyable. She teaches chords and songs and introduces music theory as you progress. Sandi also provides the encouragement needed to keep practicing even if you think you’ll never get there.

I've been a guitarist my whole life, and I've been a teacher the past 10 years. I have a passion for helping students like you learn what YOU want to learn, and creating a clear path to your goals. I have a Bachelors in music from Columbia College Chicago, a thriving arts school in the heart of downtown Chicago. I've toured extensively as a songwriter, and written and recorded dozens of albums with the Chicago band Minor Characters. I now live in Los Angeles. I've helped beginner and intermediate students along into forming their own bands, play open mics, recitals, or just for themselves. Let's talk about what you want to do and if this is a good fit!

About Andrew

Hello! I've been teaching music full-time for the past 10 years. I graduated music school in 2008, holding a Bachelors in music from Columbia College Chicago, a thriving arts school in the heart of downtown Chicago. There, I primarily concentrated on music composition and guitar, while also studying

Andrew is THE BEST! He connects super well with our 8 year old son and is a GREAT teacher. My son enjoys his lessons, is making lots of progress, and even wrote his first song! I highly recommend Andrew if you're looking for a music teacher!!!!

Andrew's been working with my 13yo online for the past few months teaching guitar online. Andrew is fantastic. When we had a scheduling conflict, he went out of his way to work with us to not miss a week. He is very easy to talk with, ask questions, and motivates my son every lesson. He is clearly passionate about guitar and is a natural teacher. Strongly recommend him for both kids and adults.
Mark
As a music producer, I've always wanted to learn the guitar, my favourite instrument. I wanted to add guitar playing to my music making arsenal.
I started taking guitar lessons online with Andrew 6 months ago as a complete beginner. I was skeptical at first of how much I would learn online and if it would be worth it. However, I can honestly say Andrew is an excellent teacher who I not only recommend for his outstanding musical knowledge and talent, but also his great teaching skills that allow him to adapt to any of his student's special requests for a class.
Anyone motivated who is willing to put in the work into practicing will love the process of learning with Andrew.

Barry Harris, the great Jazz pianist, and educator says, “I have such a ball in my classes, and I learn so much from my students. They probably don’t realize that I come to school here, too. I’m just the oldest member of the class. I wish everyone could experience the blessing of learning new things all the time.”

The above statement describes how I feel when I am teaching. I have been playing and performing for over 20 years in many capacities, and still, music continues to teach me new things every time. Not only do I want to share that experience with you, but I also want to guide you into having that experience for yourself.

About Ian

I started on the violin when I was about 8 years old. I began with classical music, studying in the Suzuki method. I loved my time in the Suzuki method; I wasn’t always the best student; however, in hindsight, I am incredibly grateful for the experience with my teacher, the method, and the strong

I have taught guitar for over 10 years and believe students should get to play what they want to play! Students are asked to come up with a list of songs and/or artists they would love to play. Through teaching chords, note reading and theory, the song possibilities are endless! I also can help the aspiring singer/guitar player to be able to both play and sing simultaneously.

We start with the music that excites you. We learn it, take it apart and study it from top to bottom. You use some of what you learn to improvise and compose your own music. We record or perform everything we worked on. Then we repeat. One step at a time, you'll master the guitar, learn how music works, and become capable of learning or creating any music you want to hear.

This approach works whether you're just beginning, or five years in. It's the fundamental set of actions that defines every musician you look up to, and my job is to guide you through the process, support you as you do the work, and help you adapt this process to your level of ability and the pace you learn at.

Shoot me a message if you're ready to get started :)

About Ethan

My musical life started at the piano when I was four. I've spent the last five years helping students understand the sounds that speak to them and bring them into their own music-making. I spent my early years playing piano, then picked up the saxophone, which took me to Berklee College of Music,

Ethan is such a great guy, and he taught me more about singing than I thought I was capable of learning. You're missing out if you haven't studied with him

Ethan is truly an amazing saxophone teacher! I started learning the saxophone on my own but had been plateauing for months. Thanks to Ethan, I learned very useful tips - ranging from music theory to practical advises - and I can now feel myself progressing again. What’s impressed me the most with Ethan are his passion for the music, his dedication to transmitting his love for the saxophone and his desire to find the find the best teaching approach for each of his students.
Matthew
The way I view music and life in general has shifted in the best way possible. Stoked to have been apart of Ethan's lessons and recommend anyone interested in music to do the same. The things I never even begun to understand about music are now commonplace and serve to better my understanding of music as a whole.

"Don is a fantastic teacher, and not just for beginners but for experienced players as well!
I've been playing guitar for about 20 years, but haven't taken any formal lessons in the past 15 of those. I felt like I was in a rut with my playing so I started taking lessons with Don a few months ago. He was able to immediately help me improve my technique and help me correct some inefficiencies that I didn't even notice I was doing. Don has a great way of showing that there are multiple ways to play the instrument and not one specific "right" and "wrong" way.
I feel like I've made more progress in the last 4 months than I had in years."

Having a few easy jazz guitar licks up your sleeve is super helpful when you're improvising.
