Our 12-year old son has been learning clarinet from Mr. Dimitry for about a year now and we highly recommend him to prospective students for his deep music knowledge, rich clarinet performance experience and above all, just being a great clarinet teacher.

In a year's time with Mr. Dimitry, our son's progress has been very impressive. After our son started lessons with Mr. Dimitry, it quickly became apparent that Mr. Dimitry is a very experienced teacher for young musicians. He engages our son effectively to keep him interested in music and clarinet while at the same time sets high expectations for him. Our son always looks forward to clarinet lessons and also is motivated to practice pieces at home.

Mr. Dimitry not only teaches sound clarinet skills, but also emphasizes the importance of playing music the right way, that is to tell stories and express feelings through music rather than to play music like a technician. Although it is difficult for a young musician to fully appreciate this concept, it does go a long way in preparing him to become a really good musician in the long run.

Mr. Dimitry is very polite, pleasant and professional. We recommend him without any reservation.

My 7 year old son has been taking recorder lessons from Dimitry for almost 1 year now. Dimitry is very patient, encouraging, and enganging - considering that my son is on the younger side. Dimitry provides music instruction that is appropriate age and level wise, so my son feels accomplished and challenged at the same time.
We plan to continue with Dimitry and hopefully advance to the clarinet once his fingers can cover the clarinet holes and he has learned more music theory. My son looks forward to his music lessons. We are very pleased with his musical instruction.

Incredibly amiable, professional, and talented as a teacher.

As a senior in high school now graduating and transferring into college, I started my lessons with Dimitry in December last year and had to end this summer at the end of the music school's program. Even though my time learning the saxophone was short, Dimitry used my past musical experience to help guide me through the instrument. His lessons did not feel long in any sense of the word, and in fact some two-hour lessons I took to make up missed weeks blew by, as I was constantly engaged by his teachings. During my studies with him I found myself in the presence of a true musician, and this was only further driven home when I saw him play in the Hanover Wind Symphony at the Morristown Community Theater with Stanley Drucker. I would highly recommend Dimitry as an instructor for a student at any level.

About Laurlyn

About My Studio
Every person is different, from the way they look on the outside to the way they are constructed on the inside. Because of this, I have learned to be flexible when teaching students, knowing that what works for one student may not work for another. My goal in every voice lesson is to help you become a better you, whatever way fits YOU best.
I enjoy many kind of musical styles, but I believe that having good technique is essential to singing in any style of music.
In my audition and performance coaching sessions, I focus on more specific topics. I can help you prepare for a specific performance or audition, including finding and labeling sheet music, picking appropriate pieces and cuts, and working on your performance of selected pieces.

About Me
I received a Bachelors of Music at the University of Mobile in 2017, wh

ere I studied Musical Theatre with emphasis in Vocal Performance. During that time I toured for one year with the group Voices of Mobile under the direction of Dr. Roger Breland, arranged and led music for other ensembles in the department, and performed in several productions. After graduating I have spent my time as a performer at both Universal Studios and Walt Disney World while singing as a volunteer vocal arranger with my church at the time, First Baptist Church of Windermere, FL.
Since then, my husband and I have moved to the northern Alabama area to open up our schedule for new adventures.

About Mercedes

I am a current Music Education major at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a minor in Psychology. Before that, I attended West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL as the principal trumpet player in the concert and jazz setting, and was a trumpet section leader and drum major of the 300+ member marching band.
I earned the John Phillip Sousa Band Award and the Semper Fidelis Marine Corps Musical Excellence Award for leadership, musical talent, and dedication in music. I was privately taught for many years under Dr. Rod C. Schueller, a leader in trumpet and music education who formerly taught at Michigan State, Texas State, and Northern Illinois University. I currently study under prestigious trumpet professors Ronald Romm and Charles Daval. I graduated in the top 1% of my high school class. As well, I attended and worked at

the prestigious Smith Walbridge Drum Major Camp, where I earned my 1st class rank nationally as a leader in teaching music and marching band methods.

I have been tutoring trumpet for 5 years, and have been playing for 10. I have taught between the ages of 9 and 17, and have experience teaching beginning trumpet up to classical and jazz music at the high school, college, and professional level. Teaching is one of the greatest experiences I have ever had, and doing what I love for the rest of my life is a blessing in itself!

With my students, I work on creating a positive and comfortable playing environment so that the student feels safe making mistakes and asking questions. The only way to grow as a player is find the confidence to fail. As brass players, we need diligence, patience, and strong work ethic to improve, and a safe place to gain these skills is essential to every student. I want to get to know exactly how the student plays and what their goals are so I can work with them on achieving and exceeding them; success at ANY level is the key to staying motivated and excited to play! Learning how to play an instrument or get better at it goes far beyond simple instruction- it comes from a connection to making music and a joyful willingness to mess up sometimes! That's how we grow.

About Lance

I fell in love with the great music of the 60s, 70s and 80s and I am *still* in love! My speciality is teaching the great songs of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, RUSH, Journey, Yes, The Who, Motown, Paul McCartney, Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel--most all the great songwriters from that period.

I teach electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and electric bass.

I graduated from GIT in Hollywood, California in 1990. I have been lucky to spend time around some amazing musicians: Les Paul, Andy Summers, Allan Holdsworth, Al Di Meola, John Entwistle, Billy Sheehan, Paul Gilbert, Robben Ford, Albert Lee, Alan Parsons and many others.

I am currently working on an album that I am very excited about.

Lance was my guitar teacher for over 8 years. Lance is the best of the best! He can play any style of music and caters his lessons towards your interests. More importantly, he teaches you how to learn on your own. Lessons with Lance provided me with the skills to evolve as a person - with and without a guitar in my hand. Highly recommend!

Lance was my guitar instructor for 5 years. I was brand new when I began, and Lance was extremely helpful and methodical with his teaching. He picked the first few songs I learned based on his decades of experience, and then from then on, I could either chose my own songs to learn or pick a suggestion of his. I learned countless Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Aerosmith songs. I also learned a few songs in their genres as well. Lance is quite proficient in being able to teach a song from just listening to it, which allows him flexibility to teach you almost anything you’d like.

Lance is also amazing at getting you to think about music and your life in ways that you may not have previously done. Lessons could be as theoretical or hands-on as I wished, and I learned a great bit about different ways to view the world from time I spent conversing with Lance.

I absolutely recommend Lance to anyone for his professionalism, genuine attitude, skill, and flexibility.

Lance is the best guitar teacher I could've ever asked for. He knows exactly how to teach you as you can tell he has a lot of experience instructing. He is very good at getting rid of bad habits quickly and will teach you whatever you want to learn and teach it at any level. He is a very good guitar player himself and can teach form, rhythm, and music theory very well. I've been learning from him for 11 years and I still learn more to this day!

About Wei

Even though I have been teaching and performing on the cello for most of my life, it's not all there is to who I am. I am a chef (almost--12 weeks to go), a mom, a wife. I have a cute little Tibetan Terrier that loves visitors. My husband and I love hiking in beautiful places.

Studying with me will be fun but it will also be challenging. I believe that being able to make music with your own two hands is worth the effort.

"Dave is an exceptional teacher!

I am a beginner guitar player, Dave has been patient and kind at every lesson. This has been an inspiration and a grea
t help for me to continue learning the guitar. I wanted to find a guitar teacher and not just a guitar player; his approach to teaching is outstanding. He has a love for music and a gift of being an excellent teacher. I always leave my lesson feeling good about my progress and inspired to continue learning to play the guitar. I recommend him for any player at any level; he he teaches good practice habits and is very knowledgeable of music theory and how to teach each person individually. It is rare to find someone knowledgeable in music and apply their knowledge to teaching. I was fortunate to find him!"

"I'm currently taking electric guitar lessons from Joe. Without a doubt, it is the highlight of my week to spend an hour jamming with him. While learning a
new instrument is always difficult (especially one as physically/mentally demanding as the guitar), Joe is endlessly knowledgeable and always has a cool new trick to show me to make everything less daunting and more fun. It has been such a joy to be instructed by someone so funny, talented, patient, and kind. I cannot recommend Joe enough!"

I was impressed by this especially because when I learned to play trumpet years ago, I learned some non-optimal habits early on that plagued me all through my time playing. I'm happy that Zain is being taught good habits from the very beginning by Zb!"
