A former academic turned entrepreneur, I have spent the past decade in social enterprise, sustainability, and other spaces closely linked to improving the state of the world following six years of research in energy and environmental economics and policy. Teaching has been something I pick up naturally, having tutored refugee children in the mid-noughts and served as a peer tutor at my first alma mater, Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. My approach is much more facilitative than prescriptive, with the aim of enabling everyone to push their boundaries and learn from mistakes on a regular basis.
