I have taught in the school system and have tutored for the past 16 years. I tutor K-12 and and adults in math and English. Math is my absolute favorite subject to tutor. I have experienced first hand the frustration students have felt as they struggled with math and have seen those same students go from struggling to achieving high marks. To help these students, I go back to the basics to see where a student got lost. I help them grasp basic concepts of math that will apply to life skills such as paying bills, managing a budget and other necessary math-related skills. I use my expertise in math to help them improve their grades significantly, conquer their fear of math and boost their confidence. I have been told by many students I have tutored that I explain things differently than their teachers and they understand the material better. I strive to explain concepts in a way that students will understand and remember. I strive to help students have a better experience with math.
