My paradigm as a teacher will always be to make myself progressively unnecessary. I currently work as a professional writer and tutor. I've lived all over the United States, although I grew up in Scotland of all places. My scores on the SAT and ACT were perfect (1600 and 36 respectively), but I too had to work hard to get there, so I know what it's like when you're just starting out. Over the years, I've studied with students suffering from ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, speech disorders, and depression; I personally grew up inured to social anxiety, so I can always empathize. Some tutors will tell you that they know all the tricks and shortcuts. But really, there are no tricks. No shortcuts. Just hard work and sleepless nights and talking to yourself while brushing your teeth in the morning trying to remember the quadratics formula. ***************************************************** I have a decade of experience teaching a panoply of subjects. In the sciences, that includes Biology; College Physics I (Mechanics, Elasticity, Fluids, Diffusion) and II (Electromagnetism, Circuits, Waves, Optics); Introductory Quantum Mechanics; and General Chemistry. In Mathematics, I teach Real Analysis, Vector & Multivariable Calculus, Discrete and Finite Mathematics (Group Theory, Set Theory, Topology), Linear Algebra, and Probability & Statistics. I absolutely love writing, of course, so I can also teach you how to write an action scene or listen to a poem. ***************************************************** Studying is serious business. We will write essays. We will analyze passages. We will laugh in the face of all that is boring about standardized tests, because analytical reading and writing can be a lot of fun, actually.

Simeon is amazing!! He was so accommodating and helpful. He helped me reach my goal score and I can not thank him enough.
Words cannot express how awesome Simeon is....but here is an attempt. As parents, my wife and I cannot say enough great things about Simeon. Our child was preparing for his second attempt at the SAT's. Our child has a 4.0 GPA but did not do as well as he would have liked on the SAT's his first time. Our son was hesitant at first to work with a tutor since he thought he could prepare on his own and improve his score but as parents, we decided he needed outside help. That's when we found Simeon. Our son not only increased his SAT scores by almost 100 points in a very short window, but he extremely enjoyed his time with Simeon. Now that he and Simeon no longer meet on a weekly basis our son misses his time with Simeon. Simeon is extremely intelligent and has a way of explaining the concepts in a manner that anyone can understand. Simeon truly cares about the students he works with. We have another child entering high school next year and you better believe if he needs any tutoring Simeon will be getting a call.
Very intellectual and patient ... Cares and wanted to help .
