Learn Fluid Dynamics, effectively, from an award-winning Mechanical Engineering Professor

Features of my teaching: - You tell me your preferred style (brief lectures, problem solving, videos/pictures, etc.) and I will cater to it. I will adjust my teaching methods based on your feedback to ensure satisfaction. - I use a Surface Pro and e-pen to write equations and do examples. I use PowerPoint as needed. - I prefer to know what topics you want to learn before our meeting to prepare a short lesson (if desired) and some high-impact problems/examples to go over with you. You can also provide me with problems you would like to work through together. - I will work at the pace you are most comfortable with. - You will need to tell me 3 interesting things about yourself, and I will do the same. It's a corny exercise I like to do to break the ice. Background: I am an easy-to-work-with Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering. I have taught several courses to thousands of undergraduates over the last 14 years - at four different universities. My specialty is in thermal/fluid science (e.g. fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics). I have worked one-on-one with students frequently and find it one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. My teaching evaluations are consistently well-above average and I have received a few teaching awards throughout my career. My Ph.D. was sponsored by the prestigious U.S. Department of Education's Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship. I know what topics and methods you need to understand to succeed in your course and/or exam, why you need to learn them, and how you need to learn them. I always address the math and the physics, so that you become a master and not a memorizer. I look forward to working with you!
