Organic chemistry graduate student in the Michael Group. Researched palladium ligand design and catalysis for the purpose of new and efficient methods of carbon-nitrogen bond formation. Gained extensive experience working with volatile products, air and light sensitive compounds, micro-scale reactions, glovebox and Schlenk techniques, and handling hazardous chemicals. While researching, also spent 12 academic quarters as a teaching assistant. Lead and lectured quiz and laboratory sections, graded all written work, proctored exams, held office hours, and was responsible for student safety during laboratory experiments.
