Hi! I’m Priscilla also known as Ms. P. to my students. I'm a mentor who values a unique and creative approach to learning music, art, and even photography. In my career, I’ve realized the importance of using a variety of teaching techniques catered to a student's learning style. As a mom, I’m witness to how the arts improve development, mood, and imagination. I’m passionate about enriching people’s lives through creativity and thrive on seeing my students grow as they discover their potential. My hope is that you leave each lesson knowing that you are the conductor of your own life. *** Lesson Details *** Services include theory, technique, and performing/exhibiting amongst others. I have an easy-going, yet structured approach that allows each student to achieve results effectively at their own pace. ***Online Details*** During online sessions, if a student is a minor they must have a parent or guardian attend the first session for at least 10-15 minutes to make sure that the technology (online classroom, camera, etc) is functioning and running smoothly. *** Specialties *** In Music: Classical and Gospel, Lofi, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Afrobeats, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Acapella, R&B, Soul, Latin, recitals, auditions, concerts, compositions, music theory. Ms. P is an excellent teacher and even more importantly, she's an awesome person. I've never taken a singing lesson before, but Ms. P was very patient and so encouraging. She puts 110% effort into every lesson and provides individualized tips to improving at singing. With just 3 lessons so far, I feel like I know what to practice, how to practice and what things I need to work on to moving to the next step. If you're new or experienced looking to take it to another level, I would 1000% recommend Ms. P to help you with your journey!
Priscilla and our singing sessions bring me so much joy! As a shy, self-critical singer, what drew me in was her "get out of your own way" quote. She has a very wholistic approach, focusing on breathwork, technical scales, learning songs and is even encouraging me to write my own song. Can't recommend enough!
Priscilla is a wonderful teacher. She wanted to get a level of "where I was at" so she could arrange her teaching skills to meet me at my level. She is wonderfully energetic, encouraging and fun to paint and learn from.
