Aloha!🌴 My english name is Patience but I also have a Hawaiian name. POMAIKA'I. If you don't know how to pronounce that, I'll give you a free Hawaiian language lesson right now. Exciting already right! 😁🤙🏽 Po- as in the movie Kung Fu Panda🐼 mai- as in the English word My ka- as in Karate class, Ka 🥋 And the last letter "i" makes the long "E" sound. As in Eek! Or "ey" in key. So let's put it together and you get Po-my-Ka-Eee - Pomaika'i which means blessings. You've already learned some hawaiian. Now imagine not only learning how to speak Hawaiian but how to dance it as well. You can't have dancing without knowing how to speak it as well as knowing what your dancing about.
