About Nicholas K.

My name is Nicholas and I just graduated from Clark University with a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. I majored in physics for my undergrad and plan to continue pursuing my passion by getting a PhD in physics at GWU next year. Before I start at GWU this fall, I am tutoring over the summer, doing curriculum math and SAT/ACT math, and all levels of physics. I have a lot of experience in both teaching and tutoring. I've taught several classes over the summer and during the school year including advanced high school math, intro to physics, and an engineering and technology course. Additionally, I have been tutoring for over 5 years. I am looking to bring enthusiasm to my tutoring, and try to bring relevance into the content that students are learning because through my experience I've learned that students remain interested in a subject if they see relativity. Additionally, I am very involved in sports, being the president of Clark's Club Basketball Team my senior year of college and captain of my tennis team in high school. Thank you for your consideration.

Nicholas was professional, knowledgeable, punctual, kind, patient and encouraging. He did a great job working with my six year old son. Highly recommended.

My son has improved exponentially with Nick's instruction! He makes tennis fun. I wanted my son to get good exercise and to learn the sport. He didn't look forward to it at first, but now going to a lesson is just hangout time and he can't wait to go.

Nicholas gave my 9-year old grandson, Aidan, a total of four one-hour lessons and in that time my grandson got Impressively better at playing and became enthusiastic about the game. Nicholas was the perfect instructor for Aidan. He taught him the fundamentals but kept the lessons fun. He related easily with Aidan. I would recommend Nicholas to anyone with a beginner player.
