Hello! I'm Mike, and I'm here to teach you how to drive with confidence and take control of your driving life. I've coached dozens of students, from experienced motorsports enthusiasts to beginners who are learning how to start a car for the first time. All lessons will be on your own car.

Beginners - I will work with you on all levels of basic driving, from turning on the headlights to developing the confidence to drive wherever and whenever you desire. I'll coach you through core driving skills until they become second-nature, so that highway maneuvering, rush-hour traffic, and parallel parking become enjoyable aspects of driving instead of insurmountable obstacles to be feared. Together, we will enable you to explore the world and accomplish your goals on your time.
Manual drivers - Our initial focus will be successfully starting and stopping your car smoothly. Once you become comfortable with this main aspect of manual driving, we will begin practice on hilly terrain and in inclement weather, and then move on towards some of the trickier parts of navigating with a stick-shift, such as city driving and rush-hour traffic. My goal is for you to become so familiar with your manual transmission that changing gears comes as naturally and smoothly as breathing. Students seeking instruction on a manual car can have any level of prior driving experience; complete beginners are also welcomed.

I’m a 5 year veteran of the US Army. I’ve grown up around motorsports and have been broached on the art of driving. My goal is to instill my students with self-confidence, so that they can take control of their lives and not be held back by fears of highways, night driving, inclement weather, or even just parallel parking. I have several years of teaching experience, both in driving and skiing, and I’m confident that anyone who is willing to learn, will gain an immense amount from me.
