Fractions are getting trickier and suddenly areas and volumes are in the way. I will help you keep track of what these terms actually mean and how they are useful. We can keep math fun and entertaining, and make sure we are understanding how important it is! Seeking help in pre-algebra is the best way to ensure you are set up for success in algebra, when letters and symbols start clouding up the problems. Let's get ahead!

Teaching since:

Hello! I am a tutor with a B.S. in Astrophysics from the University of Florida and more than four years of freelance and hired tutoring experience. I was employed with the University Athletic Association as a physics tutor to student-athletes for a year. I also worked as a university-employed tutor to provide teaching assistance to college algebra courses. In high school I participated in the IB Program and took AP classes as well, so I know how the workload can get for today's students, but I also know how to help! My students always show marked improvement in grades after only a couple weeks with my help. I go out of my way to learn a student's strengths - if singing a song or practicing a chant is what helps the learning process, then that's what I'll do. Feel free to ask me more about my experience or philosophy. I look forward to helping you tap into your academic potential!

Megan was GREAT! My daughter wasn't sure at first about having an online tutor because she thought it wasn't going to work out for her. After the first lesson, she was amazed at how great it was and Megan was able to help Corinne understand her algebra problems with much more clarity! The lesson was a huge success and we look forward working with Megan for the rest of the school year! Highly recommend!

Megan started tutoring me in astronomy when she gave me some information informally but it was so fun it's a regular thing now. I might take astronomy classes now and having her as a teacher is awesome!

Megan was a really great teacher. When it came to difficult math questions, she would walk me through all of the steps and explain them in detail. She was very understanding and flexible. She helped me pass college algebra!
Thanks Megan!

Megan has helped me get through various classes. From algebra 2 and pre-calculus in high school, to calculus 1 through 3, as well as physics 1 and 2 at the collegiate level. She has always taken my learning preferences into consideration and was patient with me while I figured out concepts and problems. I really appreciate her help and kindness. Between her highly scientific mindset and friendly, approachable demeanor, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a boost, especially in the fields of math and science!

Really helpful with calculus 2 at UF (where it's pretty tough!) Good at explaining new concepts as well as helping with difficult problems.
