Students can expect me to go at the pace they can follow and cover the material they need in a way they can understand. Together, we will pinpoint the source of the student's confusion and dig deep into those fundamental skills that may still be shaky, so that they can excel in the course material they're learning now. Fundamentally, math makes sense, and as students begin to better understand that logic, their confidence in their own skills will grow. They'll pass the test, be successful in life, and maybe, just maybe, come to appreciate a subject that was once a pain in their neck!

I’m a professional video game developer with a passion for helping others reach their full potential, with a Bachelor’s of Science in computer science from Saint Vincent College. I have years of experience tutoring, which I’ve always found as a highly rewarding activity!
I know how frustrating it is to feel like you’re left behind. But in our sessions, we’ll pinpoint the source of confusion. I’ll understand you and explain the material in a down-to-earth way. After each session, your skillset and confidence will grow more and more! My students can expect instruction that is tailored to their specific needs, experience level, and personality.

We found Matthew at the last minute, same day actually, to help my granddaughter with a very important semester test in math. He was so accommodating and was able to help my granddaughter pull 2 grades higher than she had been getting. Since then, he has been tutoring her weekly and her grades in not only math, but ELA, history and science as well have all shown great improvements. Some people can do but not teach, however, Matthew has the gift of both. He also was able to win over a very temperamental teenager and get her to almost enjoy studying. He has given her the confidence boost she needed to convince her she knows the material. Matthew goes above and beyond just tutoring. He has been instrumental in contacting teachers directly to get the material my granddaughter needed to continue her studies throughout the summer months in preparation for the next school year.
